This was a challenge for me! First time doing gradients and more complex painting than I'm used to. I'm pretty proud of myself, though!
It's been so long since I got the bait, it's actually not on eBay for me to grab pics of anymore! But here's a tiny one:

I don't take my repainting decision lightly. She had highlighter - which itself is fixable - but the pockmarks and bites all over her body needed something more drastic than sunfading. And since I'd already have to paint over the filled holes...you can see where I went with this.
Besides, she had a large mark on one of her eyes that needed fixing (All of the Seaflowers I've had have something like this! Weird).
I started off by filling her holes and fixing her face with Apoxie Sculpt. I need to invest in some sandpaper and really work on blending it into the body, but I think it turned out alright for this. :) Her body is airbrushed and then painted with some cheap acrylics from Michaels. Her hair is Shimmerlocks - I don't remember what her blue hair blend is! But her pink stripe is "Harbor Island" from their site.
Overall, I'm pretty proud with her. I think her eyes turned out really well (that's usually a problem spot for me). There's some extra marks that came on her after sealing but she displays wonderfully and it's a lovely improvement from where she was beforehand.

I would love to do more in the future, but I'd seek out really crappy baits for stuff like this rather than painting over perfect ponies. More fun that way. :)

Beautiful makeover!

As I said on the Discord she is STUNNING!!!

I think I actually had this pony in my watch list on Ebay! Glad I didn't end up taking her on...bite marks are not something I have the talent to fix (or more specifically, the paint job required to cover up the sculpt job is not something I have the talent to fix!). You certainly did her some justice here...she's gorgeous! Love her new hair and the swirls. :)

She's looking great! I love those hair blends you picked for her hair, and her eyes are so clean and crisp.

Wowwwww she looks amazing!! My first reaction to seeing her was WOW, I love that ocean-water pattern! And then I realized you still kept her original symbols, and they fit in so well with the additional decoration you added! Great work, she looks really nice!!
