Title: What do you do with ponies that don't sell?
Post by: Wardah on December 30, 2020, 08:49:19 AM: I was watching a pony on ebay and I didn't want to drive up the price with a bidding war so I waited until the end. Unfortunately I forgot until I was too late and the listing ended with 0 bids. I expected the pony to promptly be relisted but it's been a few days. All the others that are available are either in less good condition or overpriced MIB. So what got me wondering what do people do if their ponies don't end up selling?

When I sold some of my dad's stuff, I donated the stuff that didn't move.

Everyone probably does something different, depending on their urgency to sell or make space.

I would just message the seller, and tell them you were interested in the item.

Post by: Tropical_Sunset on December 30, 2020, 12:06:26 PM: It depends on how long they've been with me. Just recently customized a baby G1 no one wanted. Others I just hang onto and wait for a better time.

I don't always have time to organize and deal with sales. Right now I'm not actively selling because shipping times are insane and USPS has raised their shipping costs until the end of the year.

I'm always thrilled to find a thrift store pony so I would imagine that the next person would be as well! I've grown more discerning since downsizing in 2017 but I used to buy any thrift store pony I found, period.
