I was watching a pony on ebay and I didn't want to drive up the price with a bidding war so I waited until the end. Unfortunately I forgot until I was too late and the listing ended with 0 bids. I expected the pony to promptly be relisted but it's been a few days. All the others that are available are either in less good condition or overpriced MIB. So what got me wondering what do people do if their ponies don't end up selling?

You try asking if anyone knows who the seller is irl on the social media? Never know, they may be waiting for a magical note from the evilbay offering up listings for no fee...
-
I'd lower price or put in a lot with other ponies to get them out the door.

Eh, I casually sell. I don't always relist things, and if something isn't moving after a few times -- I'll list it at a future date (sometimes over a year), to see if there is more interest then.
When I sold some of my dad's stuff, I donated the stuff that didn't move.
Everyone probably does something different, depending on their urgency to sell or make space.
I would just message the seller, and tell them you were interested in the item.

It depends on how long they've been with me. Just recently customized a baby G1 no one wanted. Others I just hang onto and wait for a better time.
I don't always have time to organize and deal with sales. Right now I'm not actively selling because shipping times are insane and USPS has raised their shipping costs until the end of the year.

I keep trying to sell the item,, if it doesn't sell i drop the price.. and if it is a really common pony i really drop the price and offer a deal on multiples

Just to say, it might be worth messaging the seller and letting them know you were interested but missed out on bidding. I did that once, and I got the pony :)

I just give the ponies away.

there's aways a home for a pony! Question is...do I have enough patience to wait? Depends. Keep them or donate them. I'm always thrilled to find a thrift store pony so I would imagine that the next person would be as well! I've grown more discerning since downsizing in 2017 but I used to buy any thrift store pony I found, period.
