Title: Cute detail I noticed on G1 backcards!
Post by: Mrs. Prospector on October 26, 2020, 12:31:14 PM: I was admiring the G1 backcard art on the My Little Wiki the other day, and I noticed some of the backcards from years 7-9 have a cute little duck hanging out in the scene with the ponies!

There are quite a few if you look, but these are my favorites:

Anyway, this is g1 backcard duck appreciation threat because they're cute and I don't know if anyone else has noticed them!

Those are mostly US cards, so I never noticed that before, although some of the artwork is familiar to the UK as well.

Thanks for highlighting that! It's a cute detail that the artists must have put in either for cuteness or for amusement. I wonder if they had a name for him among themselves...

Orange and from the wrong time period, so doubtful. Probably a coincidence or an in joke with the artists but may have been inspired by the pull duck toys some of the ponies came with...

Ahaha, yes, I think it is, lol, how adorable. :lol: Well spotted, I hadn't even noticed, my eyes were so focussed on finding the duck. :lol:

I absolutely adore all those duckies, they're even cuter than the ponies themselves. :blush:

Haha, I didn't catch that the first time, but when I read your comment I went back to that link and had a good laugh! That "catfish" is hilarious! :lol:

Also, I had never noticed the ducks in the artwork before! Guess I just never paid attention! They are all adorable. I jut love MLP artwork!

Someone posted that one of the puzzles had a duck, so went to look at the rest of the G1 Puzzles and several of them have ducks or something ducky in them XD
