Title: Mexican flutter pony real or fake?
Post by: scarletmoon on October 20, 2020, 09:06:18 PM
Hello ponies, long time ago I havent been around here, but Im glad to come and say hi.
I have this mexican flutter pony, I used to have a purple hair one and this one is lilac, I believe its original, few years ago havent seen it again. So wanted to be sure is not a bootleg and an urban legend as baby glory was. thanks

thanks for posting!  Do you know if the lilac hair matches for blossom by either auriken or lily ledy?

Thank you for sharing pictures of her :)

Here is the one on Pepperint Truly's website

She is mentioned in a post scrip at the end of the Mexican Spotlight.

I remember seeing pictures of the flutter with Mexican Prince Ruby (Dawn variant) and the dark purple hair and pinkish body colour matched very closely.

I do wonder if she is similar to the squeaky butts, a fakie, made from a Hasbro mould after the licence ran out?

Here is a picture of one, the image is owned by Ember1 and donated to the nirvana gallery. I never added it to the gallery since we cannot confirm if she is legitimate or not.

that one from Ember was the post I was remembering so I was surprised when another showed up but with lighter hair .  Offhand it looks like it would match the blossoms or twilight but yeah, given how the brothers were made afterwards and are considered fakies (albeit - desirable!) it would be interesting to confirm if flutter molds were used similarily

man, haven't seen peppermint truly in forever - thanks for the link again :-)

Peppermint Truly's website it still very useful :) annnnd it is nice to look at too.

I guess the only way we could confirm about the flutter's is if one was found MIP/MIB/MOC or however they were sold :P or someone who had one as a child or even someone who worked at the factory.

I had another search for information on that flutter owned by Ember1, but I cannot find anything, I think the thread on it must have been on the archive which is now gone :(

I did find this blog though :) I remember finding this blog aggges ago when I was looking for something else and had forgotten about it
