Mine was Moondancer. My best friend gave me her ponies and she was among them.

Seconded, I think my first G1 unicorn was Majesty. First MLP unicorn in general must have been G3 Rarity, the one with glitter and super long hair. That hair frizzed and puffed up like a balloon in Kid Me’s hands!

Also, Majesty. I can't remember where I got her, but I know she was second-hand. I remember as a kid thinking she was Gusty and that's what I called her. I just couldn't figure why her symbols weren't the same as what I had believed was her cartoon counterpart.

Glory was my first. I got to pick her out at the toy store as a birthday present. It was so amazing to see a wall of ponies and I think I read all of their back cards before choosing her.

I bought Gusty back in early 2015! I wanted to get her earlier than that but I was picky about her condition. While I still think mine looks very good, you just have to look at her in normal light. When I tried to take pictures of her in my lightbox she's so spotty and yellow! :lol: Not sure if I'll buy her repro, but it's tempting.

None of the above. I was born in '85, so I don't remember, but it was probably Milky Way or Rattles and Tattles. I didn't have any of the early unicorns until I was an adult collector.

Mine was majesty. Only her white streak was left so she is a reroot. Her symbols are great though.

Pinwheel and Windy... but... Out of the choices listed, Sparkler was my first.

Sparkler was the very first pony I got, as a birthday gift about a year before I really got into ponies. I named her 'Tiffany' after my sister's friend, not knowing she already came with a name. Unfortunately, I lost her within a year or 2, and even as an adult collector have not been able to replace her yet. I'm really disappointed that the new Basic Fun version has different hair than the original, or I would just buy her until the right vintage one comes along.

Majesty and Gypsy (second hand) were the only early unicorns I had as a kid, because UK :P
Third would be my friend's (Movie Star, not y3) Gusty (who imo doesn't count if Gypsy doesn't).
...Glory and Moondancer come way after that. But I still think Gypsy should be included as she is an early years unicorn, and it's not as if any of them had a global release.

Hmmm, if we're going by the first of the first, my first unicorn was G4 wedding fashion styling Shining Armor, then the second one was G1 Fizzy. I don't think I have any of the early ponies, I do have a reproduction scented Moonstone if that counts?

First-ever... I think it was Twilight Sparkle, but I may have gotten Rarity the same trip.
First G1 unicorn is a tie between Sparkler and Skyflier - I got them in the same thrift store bag.

My "actual" first was Dollymix Sweetie Belle. :P then the other Dollymix unicorns.
My first G1 unicorn was Baby Ribbon :) first adult unis were Windy, Glory, Moondancer and Twilight (got them all together in a lot :P).

I think it was Glory. I think it is a shame I do not have any of my childhood ponies. Except for two. She in retrospective if I had a choice I would of choose to keep. Oh well, it did not turn out the way I thought it would.

Glory! I found her in a flea market sometime during the '10s. First G1 of any sort I'd owned for at least 20 years.
She's somewhat yellowed, and has some symbol rust + wear, but still has very nice hair and is overall adorable. :D

I picked "other" because I think Streaky was my first unicorn. I got her for my 5th birthday. ^.^

My first unicorn was... Glory in the Basic Fun set a month or two ago. :blush:
Unless we ever find my childhood ponies and one of them turns out to be a unicorn. I really wish we could find them.

Judging by the options I assume this poll refers to the Unicorn sets from year 2 & 3, and not all unicorns as a species. I guess Majesty can be included in this since she was introduced at the same time and follows the same template as the others. Majesty was also most likely my first Unicorn as a collector. If we're talking about all unicorns as a species, my first one from when I was a child was Coco Berry.

Baby Glory & Baby Moondancer - found both of them at a thrift shop. I was... nine, I think.

Both regular and SS Gusty from childhood. Not exactly sure where I got them, but since I recently found a photo of my bro with regular Gusty, I think they may have been his, initially. Not sure if he would admit that now or not, or even remember, for that matter.

Candy Cane Sugar Sweet. I can still remember opening her all these years later. What a special pony. I wish I could share a pic but I haven't reacquired her for my collection yet.
I believe my second unicorn was Baby Lucky Leaf, the yellow uni that came with a calf. I didn't have any of the earlier year ponies in childhood.

I was going to say Gypsy so I clicked Other but then I remembered my friend gave me her ponies in Jr High and she had a Gusty.
Gusty was a dude in my mind.

I had three first unicorns, as they came in the bunch of ponies that were handed down to me and my sister; we had Windy, Majesty and Baby Up, Up and Away. The first unicorn I had who was definitely and officially mine was the McDonald's version of Princess Silver Swirl with her cute little castle, though.
