Hi all!
I PROMISE I used the search function before asking this, but it didn't yield any results.
My collection is too large for the room it is in. Therefore, I need to put some of my ponies into storage elsewhere in the house: either in cardboard boxes or plastic totes.
Can anyone share some tips and recommendations as to what the best way is to store ponies safely?
I want to focus on rotating my collection every few months, so I need to pack a few away so I can appreciate the rest a bit more!
Thank you :)

I personally prefer storing my ponies in shallow storage bins so that my ponies are standing. That way their hair doesn't get messed up and their bodies won't warp. I know a lot of people store their ponies in individual ziplock bags, but I've never found the need to this myself.

I just asked this too! :) Sorry for the double thread everyone.
Personally I would recommend against storing them in ziplock bags. Some types of ponies are known for off-gassing that turns the plastic sticky when kept in a sealed environment. I stored toys in ziplocs for years and many things became mysteriously sticky over time. Now I keep my ponies wrapped in acid-free tissue paper.
Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on containers!

The way I would do it is...
-keep them in an area where the temperature and humidity are controlled.
- whatever container i put them in, make sure it's breathable. it also doesn't hurt to toss in silica packets or something else that pulls out moisture in a tight spot
- wrap each pony carefully in white acid free tissue paper, so no ponies will touch each other or the container.

Sometimes it is hard to use the Search function since the site is so big LOL
I will look around and see if I can find some of the other threads re: storing your collection

Yeah, searching here is very hard, lol. I always just do a google search and put "site:mlparena.com" at the end so google only searches on the arena. Using that I found these threads:

Thank you so much for the advice so far everyone. I really appreciate it.

I like to store them with those sillicone pads. It absorbs moisture (I think).
Does anybody know where to get them btw?
