Happy Thursday! This week we're featuring princess ponies.

When I think of this set, she comes to mind. I've had a few of her pass through my hands over the years. I even have a shirt with her on it.

I have a few different versions of her, she is very pretty :)
Princess Amethyst is her Euro/UK name :)

Pass. I had her Loyal Subjects version briefly thinking my daughter would take Minty. To my surprise, she chose Princess Sparkle instead. I wasn't mad about it. She's my least favorite Princess from the first set and I wish that she'd been Buttons, as we all originally thought.

I have her! I was lucky enough to find her secondhand. She's lovely. :)

I have the Dollymix version, and some shirts and stuff with her on, but not the original G1. Not that bothered about getting her, although I definitely wouldn't pass her up, either ;) But I'll admit I want her dragon more than her, heh.

I bought her from a friend a couple of years ago. I don't have any of her accessories though.

Amethyst was the last one of this set that I got - for ages I didn't have a regular one, because my sister did, but Amethyst is my birthstone so I ended up getting one. I have her dragon and her bushwoolie as well.
In terms of character she was well meaning and clumsy and often caused bigger trouble by trying to help people out. The story I remember is the one in the 1988 annual when she's all dolled up in the Pretty as a Picture outfit painting.
I have the German one (for her I use the German name for Amethyst, which is I think Opal) as well. She looks very odd with her hair in coral but with the aqua tinsel.

I like her but she doesn't WOW me. She has a nice subtle beauty :) She's on my water cup at work, so she's grown on me a fair bit!

I found her and her bushwoolie at the flea market years ago for $1.

She's among my less favorite year five princesses but I still like her (plus she hangs around with Captain Oats ;))

I think they were only in Germany. I'm pretty sure Germany (maybe Austria?) had the normal set and then an alternate set. They're all very pretty :)

Pity Germany didn't put her on alt pose. I never liked the Mimic pose.

I dunno, I always thought it was cute. Milky Way was the only pony I had with it as a kid, but I thought it suited her as a stargazer type.

I do have her shes cute with her bushwoolie and hat I dont have all the wands really though.

I don't have her: not a pony I will actively look for even though I really like her colour combination. It's that break neck pose. I wonder what Hasbro was thinking about when they designed that one...?

I have had her, not sure if I still do or if she was sold during my last downsizing of my collection. Anyone remember when one of the main characters on The OC had her on the show and her value was suddenly $30+ for a little while after that episode? Fun times.
