If you suddenly found yourself with copious amounts of free time, but had to stay home? :lookround:
Boredom threshold has been reached, and barely 5 days in. I'm stir crazy already, so random post time it is!
So what do you do to kill time when you can't go outside?
...wish i knew how to do polls, lol.
-
Tidy your home ? Getting some shelves organized ? Following new cooking recipes ? Crafting a few useful stuff ? I don't know you or anything, so I'm just throwing some random ideas I would do. ^^ hope that helps.

Well, I'm slightly agoraphobic so I'd imagine I wouldn't get too stir crazy.
I can work remotely-- so that covers a solid portion of my day.
I have a small child -- so that eats up the rest of my day.
I feel like if I was on a lock down, my day would be veeery normal. heck, I'd gain 2 hours a day from not commuting.
I would also use the time to needlefelt because I sell them.
But things I want to do and never have time for are modern board games, video games, and watch movies. I also like cooking but am limited to whatever is in the pantry?
However, knowing me, before I'd do any fun stuff, I'd do some really deep cleaning.
Although if I was getting SUPER bored, it would be fun to have some sort of challenge with someone else. (Like we both make a cake and decorate it to a silly theme, or we both make a craft with certain parameters). I get motivated when I get to do things like that.

-Looking youtube videos of games playthough or even better, finally take time to turns the console on and finish thoses games I started thousand lifes ago.
-Starting a patchwork or embroider.
-Reading! Re-reading all thoses books I said I need to read again!

I work from home, so that keeps me busy :)
Other than that I do chores, craft, play with my cat and cook.
Love pkw xxx

I would work on some customs :)

Most of my days are at home anyway, so what I do now: watch Youtube, play PC games, Customise, read books, watch Netflix, sort files, take the odd photo, browse websites, read etc...
For company I have Bakana the plushie sharky
-
I work from home too, but in my 10.5 hour shifts I'm only actively on camera for about 6 hours
I'd recommend:
* Youtube, literally any subject you enjoy is on there. You could watch/do exercises and yoga, diy arts and crafts. I personally enjoy PBS Eons and Space Time channels
* Drawing, painting, adult coloring books
* Reading books, manga, fanfiction, blogs
* Writing a story
* Journaling, daily journal, positivity journal etc
* Making collages
* Cleaning the house, or ponies
* Organization of rooms, drawers, shelves, one area at a time
* Video games, console, pc or app
* Learning a new language, coding, trade or craft
* Curating an Instagram
* Doing make up looks
* Building dioramas or displays for toys and collections
* Cooking and trying new recipes, meal planning and prepping
* Creating your own blog or youtube, I found blogging very rewarding in the past and I just wrote about my hobbies
* Get penpals and write snail mail letters

Curl up in a ball and cry.
Seriously, what have I done since January 25? *thinks*
Very little. Check FB, check IG, Play Ponyisland, eat, take a nap, play civilization 5, nap again, eat. try to cook rice that doesn't turn out like porridge *yuck* or is still to hard...sleep...stare out the window for hours on end.....take my 5th nap of the day.
Making videos seems to be popular among expats who are still in China. Some are funny, others just talk about how things are in their cities.

I also amuse myself by ordering random rubber ducks off ebay and sending them to my sister in NY :P

Really, I’m having the same problem. I have a job that I only do at lunch, and drop off/pick up my sister from school. I’ve cleaned all I can without getting yelled at because “you didn’t do it right!”, and there’s only so many things you can draw before artists block sets in. I didn’t realize how much of my day and activities were governed by school and other things I was told to do. Now that I don’t have those things, I’m really not doing all that well. But I am writing more in my positivity journal, which is doing some good for my mental health. I’m trying to find things for me to do too, so thanks for making this thread. I might try a few things too. And hey, snail mail is a good idea! We should have an arena pen pal program!

I'm jealous I have an endless "To Do" List.
In whatever free time I have, I like to take a nice relaxing bath with Lush Bath Bombs for at least an hour.
-
Oh, there are lots of stuff you can do at home! Like, organize things that waiting for organization for a long time, cook something you never cooked before, take care of plants if you have some at home... If there's some free time I would draw, read, bake something tasty, do cross-stitch embroidery, craft something nice, play computer games. I would also take some photos of ponies and other figures if there's a good lighting. And you can also try playing music instrument if you have one, it's a lot of fun :)

I agree with what a lot of the others have said! ^.^ if I don’t have chores like laundry, organizing, or cleaning to do there are lots of fun things to spend time on! I personally use my down time to paint, sculpt, or do other crafty things. If I’m feeling lazy I will just endlessly browse the internet or watch Netflix. :P I have gained some great trivia knowledge from just hyper focusing on something I found interesting and doing more research on it!
Since a lot of these activities are stationary though I can understand if you’re feeling kind of restless? I get the same way if I’m in one place too long. Do you have a treadmill or any exercise equipment at home? Or even just a little area you can pace in? If I get restless my house is laid out in a way where the kitchen, dining room, and living room are are laid out in a loop, so I’ll walk around there a bit if I have restless energy. Also not sure if you have to stay strictly in your home, but even just stepping out into the neighborhood to walk for a bit is always nice! ^.^

I write out to-do lists and try to complete them. Art projects, organizing, cleaning, pet training, work, documenting, tutorials and the like.
-
I think a deep cleaning would be good. Maybe organize my dressers by color...I like to organize. Maybe find a project that you've wanted to do for a while and get it done?

:lol: That one's new to me! I have some good stuff in my kitchen. Reminds me of Button Moon.

It's hard to tell since I've barely had any free time lately, but I'd probably just clean up my room finally and also give my ponies the much-needed hair styling that I just keep putting away for later, other than that I would probably mostly just watch a lot of movies and TV shows, plus some YouTube in between.
