I do cuss, these days a little less then when I was younger. So somewhere in between.
-
No.

Sometimes! I try and do it sparingly so that when I DO use those words they hit heavy. You’ll know I’m passionate about whatever it is I’m talking about if I cuss! :P
I feel like if you overuse cuss words they lose their impact and frankly, it finally just sounds tacky. It’s also harder to control in professional environments if you get too comfortable using them. I know I’ve slipped up in front of bosses before, but luckily they’ve never cared.

This is it for me! Though sometimes, people will just stop you mid sentence and say "wow, I've never heard you cuss!" or "baby's first cuss word!" and it gets grating.
-
Like a sailor, if I'm telling jokes and stories, or for some reason very mad, lol. Otherwise I suppose sparingly. Never around people that aren't good friends or in professional settings or anything like that.
-
Nope! XD
-
Oh for sure. Especially online (you know, where it's allowed, so not here). :P
-
Yes I do and love every syllable.
-
I do so, but I prefer not to unless no other words will suffice. I don’t like that I swear, and I’m doing my best to use that language as minimally as I can, but I enjoy the feeling and life it gives to my thoughts and words. The English language only has so many ways to say “why/how/who/what did that awful/inspiring/cursed/amazing thing?!”, and sometimes polite speech just doesn’t seem to fit.
-
Yes i swear like a trooper. Though it does depend on the company and environment. Though i try not to in front of my friends kids for obvious reasons..... not that it always works.
Though lets be honest at 13 the probably know more than i do anyway

I usually take the lead from others. Most of my colleagues all swear occasionally. My like manager doesn't, but he's a snake and no-one likes him anyway.
-
I can speak without cuss words no problem, but if I don't care about the way I speak, I kinda cuss like a sailor, or a bit less. It's sometimes annoying because people could think I'm very mean or something.
-
Not currently, but when I got my overnight stocking job I did. Eventually I began cussing there since everyone else did. It was funny watching my coworker's reactions because they just didn't see it ever coming from me.
Once I left there and went back to college several years ago, I returned to my normal self who doesn't cuss.
-
I don't like using bad words but I have to admit that sometimes when something gets me angry and I'm all alone I just can't stop myself. However, sometimes I will use milder profanities online like s****y or c****y (not here, though) to illustrate a point. I also don't like to see other people cuss, but I usually find it funny when fictional characters do it.
-
wAY, way too often.
-
:devious: All the time! I don't tend to in real life because my mother hates it, but depending on who I'm around I love to throw it around for emphasis or fun.
Online ESPECIALLY.
-
Yes! If we could swear on here my reply would've been more colourful, put it that way >P
I tend to swear online more than in RL (or to be more precise, I have more of a vocabulary online, if you get my drift. RL I just tend to stick to a select few cusses) but it depends where I am. There's a time and place for it, you know? I try and keep it clean on here. But on places that allow swearing, it's a different story ;) I don't swear quite as much as I used to, though (online, at least).
-
All the time. Sadly nobody here can understand me if I don't use textbook English.
-
More often than not. :P
-
Only when I’m really, really mad.
-
Yes, but I feel like it depends on the context.
Not in front of my mother because she doesn't like it, although she's softened on some words, some are absolutely no-no.
Online, mildly on forums where it is permitted, to make a point, never here.
In writing - sometimes, depends on the context (in terms of fanfic, etc).
In a work environment or university in front of students when I was teaching - nope. My convener did, and a lot, but I didn't. I didn't stop the students from doing so though, so long as it was in context with the discussion.
I don't mind people swearing, so long as they're not being graphically offensive or demeaning in doing so - but I do have a twitch when someone uses a word in a sentence where it doesn't grammatically make sense xD. IF you're going to swear, swear properly!
-
I don't want to swear, it just happens. I swear multiple times everyday. Out loud to myself mostly but also if I'm talking about something I'm angry about. I try to only type swears around people who are okay with it, like in some chats. I don't swear on my twitter or Deviantart however.
-
I have sworn ever since I was a child. My mother stopped washing my mouth out with soap once she realized that I learned most of the words from her.
When I was younger and living at home, as long as I wasn't using those words against anyone in the house, the swears I used in every day conversation or emotional outbursts were tolerated...except the dreaded "C" word. That had never been acceptable. Now I use that word often while driving, and if my mother is in the car and it slips out, I get a slap upside the head
Like a lot of the others on here I use curse words more than I should, but know there is a time and place to reign it in. It is a terrible habit I formed, and impossible to break. I even tried the 'swear jar' a few times, but I was always poor and then swore because of it :P
As Loa said, "Yes I do, and love every syllable" :silly:
-
Been up & down wi it tbh, depending on situation. Nowadays hardly ever unless stressed out. I have in the past been known to make troopers blush though...
-
Yes, a lot. And I don't mind. I'm not religious or anything so  We can swear on tv and on radio here. Although in Dutch there's a fine balance so to say. The language uses a lot of diseases to swear with.
-
I'm the daughter of a truck driver from NJ. I am fluent in profanity.
-
I swear more than people think I do. I try not to swear in front of my family so when I swore as I fell and tore my ACL they knew there was something wrong. This is one of my t-shirts and my mom thinks that swearing and intellectual discourse should be swapped percentage-wise. She just doesn't realize how accurate this shirt really is...

I need that shirt.

Yes, always when I'm angry or when having a good time with friends, joking around. I used milder profanities at the office at the beginning, but most of my colleagues swear like sailors when they're angry (happens a lot at my current work place), so I usually don't rein myself in any more.
I don't think I've ever used swear words in an online forum though, never felt the need so far. :)
-
Like a salty sailor! :devious: I learned from my Dad at a very young age.
Yes, there is a filter for at work and depending on who I am around...
-
I guess I am cussing quite a bit when I'm mad but it's the usual excrement-y/rude stuff and some dialect-related swears, not actual slurs.
Some here admitting to using sexist slurs like c- and b-... you are all true edgelords, much gasp!
-
I do. I have a really foul mouth sometimes. It's unladylike, but sometimes it's the best form of expression in the moment. I avoid especially vulgar terms because even though I swear I still have *some* standards.
-
I am very polite most of the time, in fact, I am renowned at my gym for not swearing (but huffing and puffing instead!) I don't mind others swearing, it has its place, it can be hilarious, but sometimes it's nice just to "stay classy"
This is due to me being around young kids during the day, so I kinda trained myself.
I heard a neighbour go mad at her young boys last week (ages 5 and 3) and she dropped multiple f-bombs at them. No excuses, I could never do that to my kid, ever, especially at that age. (I think one of them refused to eat his dinner and she flipped-out at them.)
BUT...
back when I worked stressful night-shifts with lots of ex-Army guys... oh boy! Like a docker! :devious: :P
It's fXXXXXX satisfying, too!
-
Oh yes, yes indeed. I swear like a bevy of sailors, all of whom have stubbed their toes at the exact same moment. I blame years of working in industrial jobs, especially often being the only woman in those places, often working with people whose political views are frankly prehistoric, it does get very frustrating. I think my horrendous language is entirely justified in that situation. ;)
-
I curse every third or fourth word!
-
Not very often. Anymore
-
I swear like a sailor. And seeing how both my father and brother were actual sailors I think I am in good company! :silly:
At work I have a lot of swear-replacements : Jiminy Crickets, Cheese and Crackers, and Frick n' Frack being some of my more commonly used ones.
-
A lot of times when I'm around people (like at work) I'll just say "Bad words!" because then when they ask what I said, I can tell them I'm just saying bad words. :P
-
Yes. A lot. But only around people I really know, I'm extremely polite around people who don't fall into that category. :P
-
yes but only in a foreign language. Ihave a book that has some of the best ones in from all over the world.
