I sprayed my new repro clam shell and proudle put it together. Now I can't work out how to separate the two pieces again so I can put it away >_<
I tried everything, then broke the tip off a best kitchen knife and decided to stop!

A wise hillbilly once told me a rule that I live by: "If it don't stick and it should, use Duct Tape. If it do stick and it shouldn't, use WD-40."

I'm not experienced with this specific item, but apply this to the hinge and it'll loosen right up! You might want to re-spray afterward, but this time you'll know to be careful with assembly and de-assembly.

Thank you! Unfortunately WD40 won't work on this occasion, but I'm sure someone will tell me how to do it eventually

Ah, well. I tried! Best of luck.

Thank you!

Plastic will flex a bit if heat is applied. Maybe try a hair dryer on the hinges and see if that allows it a bit more give?

That's a good idea. Have you ever taken one of these apart? It's not really a hinge, more a pair of clips...

Apparently they are notoriously difficult, if not impossible to pull apart once they are clicked in place. Heat sounds like a good idea, good luck!
