Title: Advice on selling most of collection
Post by: lauranthalasa on January 10, 2020, 11:21:58 AM
Hey all, just looking for thoughts/advice. I have been thinking a long time about selling most of my collection (largely g3, but a little bit of everything including dolly mix, Brazil McDonald’s, Mexico g3) and am looking for suggestions on how to do so without having a lot of free time.  Don’t know if anyone remembers the Delaneys (my stuff is nowhere near as epic), how did they do it?  Are there services that will do so for a commission?  Are there people in Wisconsin looking to buy in bulk?  Just brainstorming and looking for suggestions

Thanks!  :)

I think the quickest way is having an ebay lot people can bid on. Hope it helps.

Yeah, unlike G1, the G3 market is very all over the place. I think lots would be best, maybe break it up with sought after ponies mixed in with commons to flush them out.
If you're willing to ship out, I'd love to see a list of who you have!  ^.^ Selling on here is slow but you might get lucky and have a few people willing to purchase bulks.

I agree that selling in lots is the quickest.

If you have a few rarer ponies you can sell those separately.

But in general selling lots is the easiest way to clear out a collection.

G3 is so scattered.  Like ponyville sets, I am thinking of doing one big group, same with blind bags.  I listed the MIB ones that definitely didn't make the first cut here, but that is such a small portion of what will eventually go.
