Title: Can I sunfade with an uv lamp?
Post by: kingluke on December 30, 2019, 10:57:01 AM
Hello everyone,

I have a taf yum yum with pink marks from her shoes on her legs. I think sunfading is the best way to fix this.
(If not, let me know please). Unfortunately its winter and there ain't any sun here.
I do however have an uv lamp. Can putting her under there help?

I would love to know if its safe to try. Her hair iwhite btw.

Please let me know.

Thank you.

Cheers,

Luke

I don't know.  It would be good if we could though.  I'm trying to think if I have any pony to try it on.

You could try if for 10 seconds and see if it helps, but I would definitely cover the rest of her in tinfoil, just like you do for sunfading in a window. If I recall correctly, a UV light ups the intensity of sunlight, which is why 10 seconds under one can be the equivalent of half an hour on a window sill at noon.

Thanks for the info, I'm definitely going to try it.
