Title: My Little Ponies at Work...
Post by: Taffeta on December 04, 2019, 03:35:01 AM
Randomly sorting some old files and found this image...

Twilight Pink used to 'work' with me at the library, before it closed. She lived on my desk and my colleagues all helpfully decorated her with things, which is why she's covered in so much stuff in the picture. Her magnet was my paperclip holder. She used to have a Welsh flag as well, but I don't know what she's done with it in the picture (I still have it xD). One colleague made the flower out of stickers. Another decided she needed an L plate because (at that time) I was learning to drive (which never ultimately came to anything thanks to my poor navigation).

Randomly the image is datestamped so the image is 11 years old. I left the library when it closed in 2011, and so did she.

Do you have photos of ponies at work? They can be any generation!

Edit - whoops, mods, meant this to be in corral, too many windows open at once :(

I've been bringing in seasonal ponies into the accounting office and they sit on the safe. I have SnoGlo in there right now, I'll try to get a pic Friday.

Makes me feel so nostalgic for the 2000s...

Thanks Kiwi, sorry for the trouble. I usually doublecheck the forum but had 2 windows open at once and got confused :/

Yeah, it is kinda nostalgic. It makes me sad since I know that office is no longer there :/ I think Twipink is living on my bookcase now.

I can't take pictures at work but I bought a Basic Fun Seashell specifically to display on my desk. I even took out the poster and pinned it up on my cubicle wall for a while.

Sadly a lot of problems came up with personal stuff on the desks so Seashell (and a handful of other toys) had to come home. All that's left at work is a Funko Spongebob.

I have McD happy meal ponies on my desk at work. All my coworkers know about my collection and think it’s really cool. (They’ll all ask about my trips to the MLPFair every summer and take an interest in my customs and everything too).

When TwiPink lived on my desk, I had a colleague who had a little girl who was mad about MLP. One day she came into the office with the colleague's husband to meet her mother after work and she saw TwiPink and was super excited about it. Apparently the kid was mad about G3 MLP and my colleague had mentioned to her one of her coworkers liked MLP, so she'd get to see a pony in the office if she came up xD.

It was right before ponycon, and people were giving away some G3 ponies there, so I picked up a few for my friend's daughter. She was very happy :D I think she was about five at the time.
