I was hoping this wouldn't happen. :( I bought a G3 pony on eBay and the seller had 0 feedback. I thought I would take the chance, I mean everyone has to start somewhere, right? The seller is selling MLP's and Fisher Price Rescue Heroes with professional looking photos (close ups of the toy, with multiple angles, on a white background).
I purchased the pony on Sep 15. The seller marked the item as shipped on Sep 24, over a week later. It is now Oct 3 and it still hasn't arrived.
When I go to USPS.com and put in the tracking number provided, it says "Your package is on its way to a USPS facility." Which I think means the seller generated the tracking number but hasn't brought it to be shipped, and it's now almost three weeks after I bought it.
What would be my next step, in this situation? Should I contact the seller via eBay and ask if the item has been shipped yet? Or should I just contact eBay? I haven't ever not received an item from an eBay seller before, so I don't know what to do.
Thanks for your advice. :)

I would shoot a message over first. There is a chance that it's just a newbie seller who printed the label but didn't ship it out. I've done that once and been on the receiving end of a delayed shipment due to life.

If it's arriving outside of ebay's expected arrival date, I'd message the seller to ask about it. I would give it a little more time to arrive though. I've had a seller forget to take the package to the post office after creating the label, but it did get shipped once I asked about it. Other times I've had packages that showed up as "Shipping Label Created, USPS Awaiting Item," and they never got scanned, but suddenly showed up ten days later. I hope it shows up very soon!

Definitely ask the seller first. I've had ponies where the tracking tells me it's still in the origin country and then it turns up that day, so tracking can be hit and miss. Worth giving them a nudge first to see if there's an oversight.

Thanks guys! I sent a message, here's hoping I get a response. -crosses fingers-

No reply, and it's been 3 days. :\ How long should I give them to respond?

I would think 3 days is sufficient. Now you just need to file a case for an item not received and ebay will help you through the steps. It shows a tracking number but also that you haven't received said item and that the item hasn't left the seller's area. So you still may be in luck in getting your money back/item.

Thank you bluerose, I've started the process to get a refund. Disappointed, but I'm glad ebay has these policies in place.

You're welcome. I hope you are able to find another pony from a different seller.

ebay refunded me, so this issue is now resolved. :)

That's great news!
