Nog, the young ferengi on Deep Space Nine, has passed away. I was surprised to hear about all his kidney issues, I had not heard about them before.
When I was younger, I wanted to create a television show called Star Trek: Star Fleet Academy, and the main cast would focus on young cadets and I wanted to include Nog and Naomi Wilder (Voyager). I would also have brought back older Trek cast members to either be professors at the academy or join the cadets on some space misadventures.
Oh well, at least some characters are returning for that new Picard series.

Being a dedicated Niner I was shocked to hear of his passing. I can't imagine what the other cast members are feeling right now...
