Title: Birthflowers ponies!
Post by: skywlshes on June 26, 2019, 06:50:40 AM
The birthflowers ponies were among my favorite in G3. They were Toys r' Us exlcusives, and are apparently hard to find nowadays. I didn't have any of them, still don't, but I'd looove to get March Daffodil (she's my birth month pony and I love her colors).

Do you have any of these girls ? Which pony has your birth month and which one is your favorite? Let me know! :3

Oh yes, I love this set! I love anything that has to do with flowers! Yes, I would agree that they are hard to find even in the US as they had a limited release ( especially at a decent price) My favorite is probably June rose but she is not my birth month... I am trying to complete this set as well! It's such a beautiful one!  :cheer:
I can't wait to see what are the favorites around here!

I have three of them. I have them only because someone here in the pony community was awesome and picked them up for me when they were on sale. Then they somehow got put on one side for a long time and we sort of lost touch over them for several years.

In the end, this friend, when she found them and got back in touch, sent them to me as part of a birthday gift. I don't think the awesome friend will want me to name her, but I want to say thank you here anyway because they weren't sold in the UK (I don't think) and they are such a beautiful set.

One day I would like others but they're expensive even on US ebay plus the shipping. So I am quite happy with the three I have.

The ones I have are my birthflower, February Violet - and then October Calendula and December Poinsettia. I like most of this set and would adopt any of the others if they were around at a reasonable price, but I guess the two that I don't have which stand out most to me are August and November.

Although Violet is my birthflower, of the three I have, Poinsettia is my favourite. Her colours are stunning :D

It;s a terrible photo but here they are right after I received them. I'm keeping them in the box as they managed to stay that way in stasis for so many years :)

I'm lucky enough to have the whole set. June Rose is probably my favourite, but I also love Jan Carnation, Feb Violet and March Daff. My birth month pony is August Gladiolus whom I have both loose and MIB! :D

I didn't realize they were so hard to find! I have May and August somewhere. They'll be up for sale once I find them if anyone's looking for them.

I would defiantly be interested in them if you sell as I am trying to complete my set!(or at least may as she is also a favorite of mine) :)

I have March Daffodil, and she is gorgeous. <3 I found her in a huge lot, and she was a lovely surprise! My own birthflower is poinsettia, but I haven’t yet managed to track down December Poinsettia to add to my collection.

I love Lily of the Valley and Gladiolus... I really want to get those two!

I think I have all of them, but Daffodil was my first (I'm a March girl too). At that time, Hasbro really outdid themselves, it has to be one of the most perfect pony sets of all time, IMHO.
I wish we could have G5 like that!

I would love to have December Poinsetta someday, as December is my birth month, but apparently they're super rare.  :(

What are May and August actually selling for now? I can't find completed listings for either! Thanks in advance.

I think it would be around 25-30 for a MIB, but that's just a guess

I agree with skywlshes on MIB price.

I sold a loose Carnation and Larkspur a while back and they went for ~$20 (maybe a little more?), loose but in great condition (still had their hair plastic, never played with.)

I would agree with the prices above, whenever I look for them at random it's in that vicinity.

I've only just (very) recently developed an interest in G3. Thus far I've managed to pick up two birthflowers in a lot that I bought - January and August.
I love the colours of December - very pretty, so I'd happily keep an eye out for her. And September, being my birth month!  :P
