So I snagged this massively discolored italian sparkler and got the frenchie from a fellow member here. I love making pony families and I just thought it was too cute to picture the possible answer to where rarity inherited cutie mark etc.
Not sure if it was ever canon to mix up the pegasi with the unicorns and/or with the earth ponies but I'm like, well how else do ya get an alicorn...
anyhow, onto pics ;-) (love havin' the excuse to think like a kid occasionally where my only stress is like - hmmm... do they fit on the shelf over there? Oh good)

but I think it makes for a cool story in my herd so I made the two regular italians as "mom and dad" so than could show how rarity was more like her "grandparents"
I was thinking it would be cool to have G3 as the parents but I'm kinda meh with who to choose (closest I thought was bowtie and sweetie belle) so for now I've admittedly skipped a gen until I can figure out whether to go customizing a G3 or otherwise re-frame my shelf story for the "diamond clan"

When you say G3 I think about Wondermint or Periwinkle for the colours/gemstone...?
That faded Sparkler looks awesome like that :D

and yeah...I was originally so hopeful that I had a variant but the white is just that tad off-white looks more like how italian sprinkle fades to "white"
hope ya can see the difference - italy uses a solid white for their MLP

and yeah - I turned glory into hipster-grandpa with that haircut... need to find shades ^.^
