Ahh I wish I had her! Would love to own her, but it's so sad that the glitter disappears. Altho they're kind of cool looking when they're just translucent :)

Disappears? I've washed mine and the glitter hasn't gone anywhere. I thought that these have been made from a mixture of translucent plastic and glitter, how can the glitter disappear? :0

You're right, the glitter is embedded. :) But over time, the Divine Shines' glitter tends to dissolve from a reaction with one or more components of the plastic as it ages. My own Secret Wish looks okay for now, but I can tell her days are numbered.

Hard pass, not a fan of this set/translucent ponies in general. Her symbol is so CUTE though!! If she wasn't translucent I'd definitely want her.

I'm having trouble with Flickr right now but I have a pic of Secret Wish plus a pic of two MIB Divine Shines that have absorbed some of their glitter.
I love the Divine Shines but don't love all of the issues they have.

If it weren't for the aging issues these girls had, I would get her and Tangerine. She's such a pretty pony.

I'm pariticular with translucent ponies, so I think I'd skip her unless she had lots of glitter. Thankfully this set doesn't appeal to me too much as a whole.

Want! So much want! *o* Lovely symbol, great colors, and my favorite: translucent!
My Glitterbelle is almost glitter-free at this point... Ah well, I still love her. :) It’s a little odd/disturbing that the glitter in G1 ponies has held up so completely over 35+ years, in light of what’s happening with the Divine Shines... :blink:

Love this gimmick. Why they couldn't make it so they didn't melt away is soooooo sad. I have a few Divine Shines and they all suffer... but my Sparkle ponies are just fine aside from a little color change.

Saw her in a charity shop, would have got her if she hadn't lost most of her glitter

They do that MIB as well...which is so sad. I have my MIB girls, but they look terrible with the degrading plastic and cloudy appearance. :(

I'd pick her up if I found her, I love transparent ponies! Hearing this glitter issue is quite disappointing though... what's up with G3 clarity? There was that hair breaking issue too for certain colours... G1s seem to do better in this aspect :huh:

She's gorgeous, I love translucent ponies :biggrin: this is my first time hearing about divine shines losing their glitter though, i'll have to keep an eye on tangerine twinkle....

I have her, but she doesn't have her shine anymore :< I don't know why some ponies keep it and some don't. Probably because of light :0

She lives on my desk at home. I deliberately took her out of my storage boxes when I learned about the problem this set has. She is a bit sticky but still pink and glittery. She's doing all right so far. I don't have any others from this set. I feel like I may have had at one point but no longer do.
Here she is. I think she has a really pretty colour blend in her mane and tail.

It's sad that Hasbro didn't make them with better quality materials, since they're easily outlasted by the sparkle ponies from G1.

OK, so today I was looking through my ponies, and stumbled upon her :blink: turns out I do have her - it's just that mine is already orange, so it never occurred to me that they are the same pony. Oops... :P
And now I see the glittering issue too - I always thought mine was just oddly put together, and the head got a bigger glitter concentration than the body. Now that I found her, I remember I wanted to show her mismatch off back then, it seems I never got around - but here she is now:

Sooo sad that they loose their glitter :( Shes such a pretty pony but... yeah, she has lost her glitter and her body turned into a mixture of pink and orange.

I have this girl and she still is sparkly I know it is sad they lose glitter but she isnt going anywhere from my herd.

Had her back in the day and mine started getting tacky. Within a few years plus the fade issues, thought it was a one of thing. That custom is amazing.
