Title: Nintendo Switch is on it’s way
Post by: bright rabbit 1 on March 18, 2019, 08:06:55 AM
Finally I ordered myself a Nintendo Switch console (brand new). Ordered it today on the Game website. Took a lot of things into CEX in Wellingborough and used two of my vouchers and brought 3 games for it.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (highest priced one)
A.O.T 2
Fire Emblem Warriors (cost the less than the other two)

And I’ve still got some vouchers left over.

Hope you have lots of fun. What other games are you getting with it? And you might wanna invest in another controller, an sd card and you will definitely want a screen protector.

Echoing that you will want an extra SD card, especially with so many digital releases. Have fun!

I heard something about Nintendo putting up a demo for Splatoon 2. I remember you saying you're interested in that title, so I'd definitely look into that demo when the system comes in.

As for investing in other things... I'd say wait until you spend money on any controllers. I ended up thinking I'd need a Pro Controller really bad and got one. The controller has done nothing but collect dust for nearly a year now. At $70, it is not something cheap to just let sit around collecting dust!

When I got my Switch, I thought I'd play it as a console on the TV the most, but instead ended up playing it portable 98% of the time. I'd wait to see which way you like playing the most before investing in any controllers.

Only game I’m getting with it is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

I look into getting an SD Card and Screen Protector, and carry case because I’ll put it in there so that it doesn’t get dusty.

It’s arriving today between 15:33 - 17:33 U.K time

Looks like I’m going to have to swap my X Box One to Nintendo Switch because the tv upstairs in my parents room only has one HD-MI socket. Then again I don’t know if the switch has got HD-MI.

Yes, the Switch runs through an HDMI cable.

Yes, the Switch runs through an HDMI cable.

Looks like my parents need to get a tv with two HDMI sockets, because the one in there now; I was playing Attack on Titan on it, fighting a Titan the tv switches itself off then on again and then what happens? I die game over.

I don't know why exactly that is happening to you, but there is an easy solution to lack of HDMI ports on a TV. You can get something called an HDMI splitter/switch. You can get them for pretty cheap. I don't know what stores you have around you, but I've seen them at Walmart.

I got one from RadioShack many years ago. It is a necessity.

My Asda Store doesn’t have electrical things now, PC World/Curry is out of the question because brought things from them before and they didn’t work, there is only Argos but they haven’t got the splitter that has two ports only three and I don’t know if it has sockets to put the leads in.

I did have a splitter a long time ago, but my mum got rid of it..

It has come and I’m updating it. When the update is finished I’ll add my Nintendo account with it...trouble is I forgot my my password.

I’m charging it down stairs because I’m going to play it when I finish eating my dinner.
