By some miracle of fate, a few days ago- I stumbled across a listing for my ULTIMATE GRAIL :shocked: GREEK SUNBEAM!!!!!

I have wanted her for as long as I have been collecting G1. Sunbeam has pretty much always been my favorite pony because blue is my favorite color and I have a really strong connection to the sun. But Ive never been a fan of her "walking" pose. And I dont love the glitter symbols, I always prefer the painted symbols for some reason. So whenever I discovered that Greek Sunbeam came in the "Glory" pose (my #1 favorite G1 pose) with a metallic painted symbol I was immediately in love. PLUS the sun symbol is ever better than the US version with the pointed rays vs the rounded ones. And the hair!! So much more vibrant in gold with a blue streak.

Thanks for all the congrats everypony. It really does feel amazing to own my ultimate grail pony--- but also kind of weridly... like "what now?"
I wasnt actively searching for her...and there's certainly other ponies on my list, even other 'grail' level ponies (though Greek Sunbeam has pretty much always been my #1) But I do sort of feel at a loss. Like now I have acquired my ultimate pony...should I pick some even loftier pony goal? who knows! I guess its one of those things that only time will tell. I do fall in love with different ponies all the time.

What a gorgeous girl to own. I can see why she was your grail :lovey: As for choosing a new grail, maybe another Greek to keep her company? There are some gorgeous ponies out there, so I'm sure something will stand out for you eventually :frolic:

I had a similar spasm of utter joy when I managed to finally lay paws on Brazilian Paradise (the Paradise of my childhood imagination finally in my hands!). Major congrats on snaring Sunbeam. She does look pretty in that pose, and with the blue streak. Greek ponies can be so pretty, shame about the cost. It's always special to get that special one, though :D
That second pic, she's definitely strutting. Her expression says, "I'm gorgeous and I know it." ;)

And I really appreciate all your congrats, its such a special community here where we can celebrate each other in these ways that other people just would not understand. I tried explaining to a friend of mine why this pony was SO special to me, and he just was like "oh. cool." Im like... IT. IS. COOL. Its *the coolest* to me. Only collectors understand a grail!
