Post by: bright rabbit 1 on October 01, 2018, 02:12:17 PM
Which baby pony colour is close or similar to Baby Cherries Jubilee? Pictures will help. It's just so hard to get my hands on said pony.

You simply need to go to wikipedia and choose the pose you're looking for.

So it looks like Blossom is the one but which version the common version or the Italian version (found a bait Italian version on eBay.uk).

Baby Ember pose is the one that I've choosed for Baby Cherries Jubilee so it looks like Baby Applejack is the one.

Even poor quality international variants may be considered nirvana and still worth a lot. I would hesitate to customize any international pony. Maybe the 25th anniversary Blossom? She wouldn't be considered as rare, I believe, and she is a darker purple than the original.

Trouble is people put the twenty fifth anniversary Blossom higher than the other versions of her on eBay.uk

Eh. There's probably not an abundance of her in the UK since she probably wasn't released there. She's cheap in the US and you will get hit with shipping.
The cheapest 25th I see is:
£3.12
+ £11.15 postage

And for 35th I see one for £12.99 and free shipping.

Then again Amazon.uk has the 35th one for sale, but it'll take one to two months.

Baby Count-a-Lot is going to be Baby Cherries Jubilee since I've finally got my air brush set, all that I need to get now is the paint to match Baby Cherries Jubilee.

Remember these ponies will never be made again! Only customise ponies that are beyond help - many people will still buy and value ponies that have flaws and appreciate them as they are, or try to restore them.

Or better still buy an anniversary pony or HQG1C :)

But isn't that the same exact pose as Baby Cherries Jubilee? I'm sorry but I'm a little lost here, I don't see the point in making one that's not an alternate version when you can just buy the original and avoid baiting another G1 pony...?

Of course, if your Count-a-lot is bad enough I guess it doesn't matter what you use her for, and it's your pony in the end. But like Noasar said, it's a good idea to carefully consider when a pony is baity enough.

As many as it takes.

This. I guess it depends on the consistency of your paint. White primer (gesso, for example) may reduce the number of layers needed. But I'm not sure if it's as important with airbrush as with handpainting, I've never tried an airbrush in my life.
