Title: How to get Ice Skaters to Stand
Post by: Leave a Whisper on September 17, 2018, 08:59:28 AM
How do you get the G3 Ice Skater ponies to stand? Loop de La keeps knocking over my other ponies. And those darn skates don't seem to wanna come off either. Thanks.

I think the skates are glued on the ponies feet. Do you have the stand that goes with them?

Alas, I do not.

Their waists turn, what I usually do is just twist their waist and have them laying down like they're just chillin' out, lol! Works perfectly, they literally can't fall over!

It is possible to remove the skates by boiling them a while and then peeling them off (I used pliers), but you have to cut the wires that attach to the metal part of the one skate, and the pony's crown will never light up again.  But, they don't light up unless you have their stand anyway soooo . . . :P

Their hind legs are normal EXCEPT they have a hole in the bottom of one, where a magnet would normally go.  (If you have Twinkle Twirl in the rearing pose, look at her hooves and you'll see where her hind-leg magnet is . . .)  Personally I still think it makes them look better, even with the hole LOL.

Edit:  Slight correction, they have holes in the bottom of both hind hooves.  See pic below. :)

Yep!  They are basically in Twinkle Twirl's pose, so if you look at Twinkle Twirl's four-legged standing pose (not her rearing pose), it's the same. :)

This is what the underside of her feet looked like after her "surgery".  I jammed a magnet into one of them, LOL.  I had to trim a bit of plastic to do it which is why the plastic on that foot looks "rougher."

Since you have Loop-De-La, the ballerina pony, one option would be to get an extra PLAIN shoe for her (i.e. not the one with the spike in the bottom) and put it over the "electronics" foot to hide the hole.

Or just get any set of G3 pony shoes, I guess!   Personally I think they look way better even with the hole . . . At least they can stand . . .

I never realized what pretty colors Glitter Glide has.

You'd think it would make more sense for Loop to be the pink pony and GG to be the green/blue one though.
