Here's how you post images!

This is a bit outdated when it comes to image hosting site recommendations. I use Imgur myself.

Hope people can help you with the price checks!

Hi David!  Unfortunately the board itself can't host pictures, so you'll need an image hosting site.  I use Flickr myself.  I'm excited to see what ponies you have!

Google ImgBB - it’s dead easy to use and then post/embed BB code links to the images in your post.

To give you a rough idea, common or beat up ponies could be $1-25ish, and rare ones (like some mail order ponies or some made outside of China/Hong Kong)  could be as high as $100 or more.

Swirly Whirly
Tassels
Sundance
Starshine
Sherbert
Lily
Toppy
Baby Snippy
Baby Lofty
Big Top
Are there any major defects that you can notice? Any brown splotches or other oddities? Prices take quality of the pony into account.

One tip - if you are selling them, it might be worthwhile to sell Big Top & Toppy together as they are a set of twins. They're the yellow and white small ones with the clown symbols (one is yellow with white hair, the other white with yellow hair).

It's also worth noting whether the ones with the raised symbol are made in Hong Kong or China. Some people care about that :) And also if they still have scent.

For your sake, I hope not ;) it's very sickly!

When you do go to sell them, I also recommend cleaning them up beforehand. Prettier looking ponies would attract more people to their listings! :)

To clean up their bodies, you can use a Magic Eraser to get some marks and surface dirt off, just don't apply too much pressure when going over painted areas such as their eyes and symbols. Swirly Whirly's (yellow with the raised symbol) black mark looks like it should come off with a bit of added pressure when using the eraser. Lily (pink with the purple hair and missing wings) seems to have a lot of surface dirt that should be able to easily be removed. Be careful with how much pressure you apply when trying to remove the darker spots on her symbol though. The blue on her face may not be able to come off with a magic eraser though, it looks like a stained. That may be able to be sunfaded but whoever buys her would be able to tackle that, not really a beginner thing, especially as it takes a lot of time.

With their hair, what I always do is get their hair wet with warm water, put conditioner in it and leave it in for a couple minutes, brush through their hair with a comb (starting from the bottom and working my way up) to get any tangles out of their hair, then rinse out their hair. When initially wetting their hair and rinsing the conditioner out, be very careful around the base of their tail, try to not let any water inside that hole, as ponies' tails are held in with metal washers, these can rust if they get wet and aren't able to dry off correctly. And don't dunk ponies in water either, than can also cause tail rust, and mold as well.

Also, with Baby Lofty (white pony with yellow hair and closing eyes), she's from a set called Beddy Bye Eye ponies, and their eyes are known to rust. Be very careful with water around there too. Make sure no water enters her eyes as you're cleaning her up.

Good luck with selling them!

So can anyone tell me if they are worth anything ? Where would I sell, on E-bay ?

Just put them on eBay - there are no super rare ponies in your lot, but most should make $10+

TrailTrusted, did I post the pics in the same order you listed them ?

Yes, the names listed by Trail are in order. None of the ponies you have are rare, but some of them are uncommon and more desirable.  Least valuable are Sundance (third pony - white with pink hair, four hearts in a geometric pattern/circle symbol) and Lily (sixth pony - pink with purple hair, wing mechanisim on back, flowers/plant symbol).   Starshine (fourth, pegasus - white with rainbow hair, glittery sun symbol) is also fairly common but if her symbols are in perfect shape she can still fetch a good price.  Most are in the 3-10$ range of value.  The best of the lot would be Tassles (second pony - teal, magenta hair, 3d carousel/blanket type symbol) and the set of twins.

Please be VERY CAREFUL when cleaning up ponies.  You can easily end up causing damage and devaluing them if you end up taking off any paint and glitter symbols like Starshine's are fragile.  Do not soak - if you get water inside they can rust or grow mould, and should not be shipped wet.  The best thing is to wipe them down with a wet cloth and a bit of mild dish soap.  I'd leave any more intense cleaning to the future owner.

And absolutely no removezit or like products for mark removal. I forget the actual brand names and chemical name, but it's best not to use chemicals on pony plastic unless you are absolutely sure it isn't harmful to the colour.

I personally would begin with soap and water on the surface dirt before you move onto anything else. A lot of pony dirt will come off with soap and gentle warm water. Anything beyond there maybe the magic eraser.

Benyzol Peroxide is the chemical name, I don't know about brands though.

Others have offered great restoration advice :) Good luck!

Oh yes, this too! Glittery symbols especially need to be handled with care!
