so happy found a sweet pair of Pajamas with............you guessed it, Star shine... again :lol:
found them at kmart in New Zealand. the only thing though is whats wrong with the "Hasbro licensed" image??

Ooooh. I see. The Starshine in the PJ's is a unicorn instead of a pegasus! It took me a sec to figure that out! Lol

The weird thing about that is that a near identical shirt was available here in primark only the pony was Moonstone. Still in white though. I guess they reused the template but they have been unnaturally obsessed with Starshine for a while. This is just taking it to the next level.

But I noticed they made her into a Uni on the shirt and apparently on the pants she is both Uni and Earth

It's always Starshine on current G1 Merch! Not that I have anything against her, but how about some variety? There's like, 500 different ponies they could have gone with :P As for the fact that they've gotten the ponies wrong, am I surprised? NOPE. They did that on original G1 merch as well!

Here you can see that Heart Throb and Surprise are portrayed as Earth ponies and that Truly is a Pegasus. Hasbro has apparently always had problems keeping their characters straight!

I thought the obsessive brainwashing in the direction of rainbow pony merchandise was a UK thing but I guess not. Starshine has had the most attention, though, followed by Moonstone and then I guess Windy. Parasol and Sunlight seem to be the ones most missed out :/ I have socks with Starshine and Lickety Split on too which makes no sense whatsoever.
As for that G1 thing, I think wrong species is the least of their worries ;) Lofty looks a little...blue?

Yeah, she is just on so much merch! It may be because out of all the ponies Hasbro had to offer to be on clothing, she looks like what society's idea of a pony? The standard now is pretty much a white unicorn with rainbow hair. Which describes Starshine on these PJs. The rainbows are probably featured so much because they have rainbow hair, but Starshine is white too. Companies probably wanted her to reach to an audience that isn't involved with MLP. From their view, she looks like she would sell. The other rainbow ponies match her, so especially if they knew they were a set, they would throw some different rainbow ponies on there, but they would have to look like they would sell well too.

Hasbro does have the rights to all the G1 ponies. :)
As far as Starshine goes, it would be the clothing company that decided to "unicorn her up", not Hasbro. I agree that it's because "white unicorn with rainbow hair" is kind of classic. Like the Lisa Frank unicorns were often in those shades, plus Whisper the Winged Unicorn.

I was under the assumption that Hasbro provided the clothing companies with ready-made vectors for copy and pasting onto the fabric pattern, but I suppose the company could always make small edits...
I'm not surprised that they did make her a unicorn, but I love pegasi so much more! Why not have both?

I think you're totally right about Hasbro handing out vectors, but Starshine is a pegasus on almost all retro pony merchandise (I have her on several socks and I've seen her on shirts) so I think in this case it was the company purposely taking an artistic liberty, LOL.
It's especially funny that they have her as an earth pony on the bottom half of the outfit!

iv just checked your guys kmart site. They never or haven't yet shown the MLP PJ's on our NZ site, i only found them in store, also i saw on your site they have a girls tops with Starshine on it (yes starshine AGAIN) :lol: darn it they don't have that top over here or i would buy that in a flash. i love buying new retro mlp stuff for my daughter (my little me) :P
