Title: Sealants
Post by: rybett on October 30, 2017, 04:27:11 PM
I'm painting  cheap pair of canvas sneakers for the kid.  Do I want to seal them?  Such as watered down triple thick or modge podge?

Something meant for use/outside stuff. Mod Podge Outdoor or something else durable.

I forgot that was a thing.  Perfect!!  If anybody wonders, it takes 7 layers of Folk Art hologram paint to make whiter sneakers SPARKLE.  And the shimmer does not shed.

At least it doesn't shed! I hate whenever I got glittery shoes as a kiddo and the glitter would just come off onto the carpet.

I sealed my custom, canvas shoes with Dul-Coat, I then sprayed them with a regular shoes protector and waterproofer.

This sounds like a good idea to me!

Would you like to share some pictures of your work? :) I'd love to see the shoes!
