Apparently Hasbro just re released the toys from March that were given away before in Europe and slapped 'MLP: the Movie' packaging on them. :huh: A little disappointing since they could've had a great promotion if the figures were actually movie related. I know it's not the first time Hasbro has recycled the same designs but the packages are even marked 2016! Considering how difficult it's been for most to find the movie concessions souvenirs it would've been really cool if the happy meal toys were related to the film. This set is a combination of costume masks and ponies and the masks are even older from January 2016! Still bought them though, because, ponies! :silly:

Yeah, it is a little disappointing. It's nice that now the US is getting some McD toys Europe got, but.... I would have liked McD toys of the movie characters...

I agree. It's nice we are getting some of the same European release toys but it shouldn't be packaged as being from the movie when it isn't. Next happy meal is Hello Sanrio so if it's the same toys from Japan or something I'll be super excited lol

In Portugal we´re getting pokemon from Sun & Moon games.

I agree with everyone too. We should have got movie character toys. I would have loved a Tempest or Skystar Happy Meal toy.

In SA we currently rejoice in mini emoji plushes from McDonalds. Not sure what we are supposed to be doing with those... Hoping the ponies will still be coming as the movie is now out but the current 'splendid' toy promotion only ends middle of the month.

Same, or any of the merponies, hippogriffs, pirates and villains, But this is Hasbro and they're doing dumb things.

I asked (in the UK) at my local outlet yesterday when the pony toys are due... the manager said either Wednesday (today) or next week... no display shelf or anything to herald the arrival of them and I have no idea what the toys will be.
They certainly have missed a trick if the toys are not baby seaponies or movie-specific (new) characters etc. I'll just have to wait and see + try to contain my disappointment! :lol:

Oooh, if the UK gets actual movie related toys and not recycled repeats like here in the States, that'd be awesome! :whoa: Although, I'd be even more disgruntled if Hasbro went to the trouble to make new characters for overseas and not here lol :P

Any new character in the movie as a Happy Meal toys instead of masks and repeated toys from last year. :)

Not according to the manager at this outlet! The rest of the staff were clueless... I shall wait and see what happens ;)
ETA -
So I popped into another outlet the other side of town and went in to check.
Nothing on display except for Roald Dahl books... so I asked.
This time - the guy said that he had NO Pony stuff on his future schedule and yes indeed, the Adventure Time toys would be next ones out... so why did the other guy in the other store tell me otherwise? :blink: Hmm maybe he just said that to get rid of me! :blush:
I am beginning to think that the UK may get NO pony merch at this rate! :(

There used to be a section on the website where they would tell you what toys were next to be released. I've Tweeted them so we'll see what they say for the UK.

In Canada, McDs still has Nerf toys - no sign of MLP movie toys, and the managers here don't have a clue what's next. Usually we follow the US toy line but we have been different for the month of September (Ninjago vs. Nerf toys), so I wonder if the MLP Movie line is a US exclusive release...

Has anyone got these yet? I plan on getting McDonald's after my 7 hour work shift tomorrow night so I can get a pony (I usually get Taco Bell after my late shifts but ponies are priority). Do the masks and ponies come together or do you get one or the other?

Aww dang. Think I'll see if I can convince my mom to go inside McDonald's when we order tomorrow night instead of going through the drive through so I can buy a pony separately in case a mask comes in my meal. Then buy all the other ponies at a later date.

You can always ask which toys they have at the drive thru and request the one(s) you want, or trade them at the window, before driving away :) I hope you were able to get your ponies! :D

Haha, I ended up going to Taco Bell because I was craving it, but I plan on going to McDonald's for them this week!
