I recently discovered my love for Pokemon, and want to download Pokemon Go. I looked at my collection and thought, wouldn't it be cool to have Ponymon? You could hunt for sea ponies near the water, collect ponies, and have your favorite pony walk beside you! Has anyone else thought of this? I think it would be great!

Thst would be cool!

Nah. Pokemon Go is boring, the tracking is weird and they never got around to introducing trading.

Well, if there was a Ponymon app, those problems could be fixed :) Trading would actually make a lot of sense, as people trade ponies in real life too!

Go put this idea up on kickstarter.
-
I would love a GPS-based collecting Ponies game!!!!
(though technically I have that, but my local stores only restock every month or so. LOL)

I can't because I'm not 18 yet. What would I use the money for, though? (If people even funded it, lol  ) Too bad I don't know how to code. I would so try to make Ponymon! I can draw, though

Haha, lol! My local stores barely restock  I do think this game could be a lot of fun though, if it was ever made

I love playing Pokemon Go but a pony version I'd love even more.
-
I think a pony game based along the lines of Pokemon Duel would be cool. Pokemon Duel is the virtual board game with the spinning circular things for attacks. It's really fun!
-
That does sound fun, LadyMoondancer! But would the ponies attack each other? If there was a "Ponymon Duel" game, maybe your opponent could have enemy figures, like the smooze, Tirac, the rainbow of darkness, etc. so ponies wouldn't have to harm each other. I think that would be fun  Though, any pony themed game would be fun!

you mean more people wandering into traffic and in front of trains, completely distracted?
or you mean players trying to trespass on private property to "catch" the items?
short answer: NO NO NO, get the &$@_@@ off your phone and join the rest of us in Reality.

Playing Pokemon Go doesn't mean being completely distracted or trespassing. When a Pokemon enters your area, your phone vibrates, and you can move closer to it, occasionally glancing at your phone to see if you are close enough to catch it while being aware of your surroundings. When you are close enough, you can throw a poke ball at it, and move on :) You can still be aware and alert while playing, because the app allows you to do so ^.^ Though there were some safety concerns and people breaking the law, I feel like the app took the blame, not the people who broke the law or were putting themselves at risk without the app's instructions. (The app actually gives safety warnings and doesn't allow you to play if you are moving at a certain speed to prevent car accidents.) If a pony version of Pokemon Go was made, there could be on option to turn off moving in the game by moving in the real world :) What I mean is that you could just move in the game world (which could be Ponyland!) and catch ponies there.
(Edited as I forgot to add a quote. Oops, silly me.. :) )

Eh, I doubt ripping off Pokemon go is a good way to design a game. Not that I wouldn't adore a somewhat interesting pony game.
-
Yeah, but then you'd have to travel to foreign countries for the nirvanas.

That's the fault of those dumb individuals tbh

It'd still be boring.

Well, it wouldn't be a total ripoff ^.^ there could be new features added and things could be changed. For instance, instead of evolving, ponies could be restored. When you catch them they could be bait, then be restored to played with, then good, then very good, then mint  You could find restoration tools (to help ponies get in better condition) out in the wild, like hair, a reroute tool, soap and water, shampoo, oxi-clean, paint, etc! (Also, I'm not really talking about ripping off Pokemon Go, just using the concept of collecting ponies )

Haha! You never know, though... There could be nirvanas on vacation  The more I think about the possibilities of this game, the more I want to make it! Too bad I can't, as I don't know how to code :cloud: And Leave a Whisper, why would it be boring if you don't mind me asking?
-
Because I find Pokemon Go to be pretty boring.

I would absolutely want the ponies to attack each other. :P
The fun of Pokemon is building a team of cute animals with complementary abilities and then beating the tar out of other cute animals.

Now that might be interesting.

The game wouldn't work otherwise anyway. :P Almost all of it involves fighting other players, not the AI. So you are pitting your team of six against their team of six. It's a blast!
I wish it would catch on like Pokemon Go did, because IMO it's way more fun.
-
There is actually a Ponymon game, it's a ROM hack of FireRed/LeafGreen with G4 ponies as the 'ponymon'. I was never the biggest fan of Pokemon Go and its gameplay style, but I tried this years ago and it was fun for a chuckle.
-
I actually downloaded the game, and it was pretty fun! For a while... until everyone I played against had a Deoxys. Then it was really frustrating and I couldn't win at all :pout: Don't get me wrong, the game was awesome and really fun to play  Up till the point it where it was basically telling me I had to pay to win. I think I would prefer a Pokemon Go style game though, because ther is no pony violence :drunk: Just my opinion though
-
Deoxys is the WORST. They need to make Cosmos Energy a more expensive plate IMO. Having it cost 1 is ridiculous when players use it as their ENTIRE STRATEGY. It should cost 6 points, or at least 4.
-
Yeah, I agree. It's so frustrating >_<
