got the first one of legends of friendship and the first of the film prequel comics I got 2 of the 4 covers one to keep mint and the other to read :D I am such a geek :)

Yes, multiple g1 characters have appeared in more current times according to the comics. I personally don't take "canon" too seriously, I just like seeing pictures of g1 characters in the comics.
I don't actually keep up with the comics really, though. Aflame, would you be willing to give us a synopsis once you've read them?
