Title: Build a Bear kiosk/mini store vs full size store
Post by: Ponyfan on June 07, 2017, 11:23:29 AM
Hi,

For several years the closest Build a Bear has been 6 hours away from me. Finally a Build a Bear kiosk/mini store is opening at the mall. What is the difference between the kiosk and a full size store other than a smaller selection of animals and clothes?

ooh, i've never seen a BABW kiosk before! it probably won't be much different, though, other than the smaller selection as you have stated. unfortunately my mall is crummy and both our BABW and knockoff BABW have closed :(

I am a build a bear employee here. :-) our mall has a full store, and the Gaylord hotel near us opened up a mini kiosk. The difference is, the mini kiosk has a much smaller selection. There are only maybe 10 or 15 animals verses the full line. We also have a limited selection of clothes. Scents and sounds can still be added, along with the heart beats. But we do not have the full variety of sounds.  There is a stuffing machine as well, it will vary depending on what your store chooses to put in it. But you can still stuff your own animal at the kiosk. If there is a specific bear that you want, you can always order it offline, and order it unstuffed too. Then you may bring it to the kiosk to have it stuffed there.

Thanks preciousstar and cloud_weaver. :) I was really excited to get a Build a Bear at the kiosk but although they have all the animals and clothes out on display they weren't open when I stopped by. Does the kiosk accept the Stuff for Stuff rewards also?

Thanks cloud_weaver. They were open today. Even though I told them the animal was for me they still let me push the foot pedal and do the heart cerermony for my new Build A Bear. Do they do that for all their adult customers?

Thanks Duenia. :) I wasn't sure if they thought that I was a teenager or if it was something they do for everyone.
