Not sure if anyone has seen this yet but Hallmark's 2017 dream book is out and there is a
G1 MOONDANCER ORNAMENT! :yippee: :yippee: :yippee: :cheer: :cheer:

I love Moondancer but it seems her eye is misplaced. Is it just me? Something doesn't look right.

The angle of the end of her snout is a little off too. Nonetheless,

It does look like her eye is slightly too high and slightly too small. But maybe that's the angle?

Ahhhhh!!! I might have to convince my husband to get her for me. I can just bribe him with a Star Wars ornament for himself.. >_>;
Her eye does look off. But that might be the combination of it being a promo shot on a white background (or had the background cut out), on a bright/white site, of a white pony (my eyes are hurting after being on that site...)

Wow awesome! I'm so glad they're doing another one! I think her eye just should have been placed a tiny bit lower on her head, but honestly she still looks gorgeous to me!

Yeah, I was going to say, there's something uncanny valley about her face. For that price I'd expect better. Maybe it's just the photo angle though or it could be a mockup.

Honestly I think it looks pretty true to the real pony with eye placement. Maybe a little worse looking because of the angle?

Probably because her hair looks curly and Moondancer has straight hair?
I think it's easy to pick flaws, though. She looks neat to me.

Two years ago we had a Cotton Candy ornament from Hallmark which was very similar in design. Last year there was a set of small ornaments from another company but they didn't look nearly as good as Hallmarks do but where just as expensive.

I think it's hard to tell by the photo. I know when Cotton Candy came out she looked WAY better in person than in the picture. I was blown away at the detail so no doubt it'll be the same with Moondancer. :)

OMG she's lovely!! I don't see any problems with her :) She'll probably look (even) better in person anyway, most things do. AAAAAA I'm so excited!!! Definitely need her to go with my Cotton Candy :)

oh she is Beauuuuuuuuuuuutiful :frolic: can't wait to get this one, so glad they are doing more. i was so disappointed with that last batch somebody else did but she looks great just like HM cotton candy :ohyeah:
yeah something to look forward to this year, iv lost track of those G1 royal thingy's that were meant to come out this year

Yeah, if you scroll through the other ornaments there's a G1 Soundwave. He looks really cool.

They really are! The quality is stunning. I was sad they didn't have one last year. I wonder why they skipped a year to come out with Moondancer this year?

holy crisps, I need! I missed out of the original 6 ornaments last yeah, and even my SO was upset about that because he knew how much I wanted Minty xD But this one is lovely! pinning that tab to keep an eye on it :lovey:

I think she looks great, the only "complaint" I have is that she doesn't have her characteristic wine red hair. It feels like a cheap cop-out to give her magenta hair, kind of like "she needs to have at least something pink, because she's a pony". But maybe that's just me. :lookround:

OMG, Moondancer with hair? :silly:
I need more Christmas ornaments like I need more holes in my head but this, this I might need. I rather like the slightly more realistic sculpting of the m/t (despite the color being a bit pink) & hopefully the odd proportions are just an artifact of HSOs being difficult to photograph well.
Based on the previous CC ornament, are these heavy? What are they made of, resin, plastic?

I was wondering about her hair colour, too.. maybe it'll be closer to her actual hair colour in person? I dunno, it'd be nice if that was the case though. I do prefer her with red hair to hot pink :)

I am so glad they are making another Hallmark pony ornament- I LOVE the Cotton Candy one- once the season was over for CC, I went back and tracked down extras just in case I felt up to making a couple of customs one day... I'll probably do the same for this one- I'm SO glad CC wasn't a one-off!
The ornaments are heavy and well made- they look good. I think they are resin (which is a heavy plastic)

The Cotton Candy one looks much better in real life so I hope Moondancer will too. I'd love to see more retro ponies.

I loved the Cotton Candy, so I can't wait to get this one :) The CC ornament felt almost like a hard rubber, I don't believe it was plastic. But it's been a while since I handled mine, so I could be remembering incorrectly.

Yes thanks! It's bigger than I thought too, according to the pics by the ruler it's like 2 inches tall.
Plenty more of them on eBay at $10-ish total price right now...such a nice treat to have on its way.

It doesn't look right to me either - too high perhaps?
But I really REALLY love Moondancer :inlove: So glad they decided to make an ornament out of her
