Are they sea ponies or something else? I'm not up to date on books sadly, I just watch the show.

Sure. The thread should be under the title Movie Brushables.
I'm definitely grabbing a few for myself, plus some to customize. Are you grabbing any Water Raven?

I'm pretty certain that Hasbro is going to call them sea ponies.

That's what worries me. They're not what they're going to be called. It's not like they look alike either.

I guess we will just have to differentiate by saying "g1 seaponies" or "G4 seaponies". We can call these merponies but if Hasbro calls them seaponies then that's what most people are going to call them.
Speaking of the actual toys, I'll be getting new characters only. I refuse to buy more of the mane6 no matter what they do to them.

I am really curious about the customization possibilities with this one. I wonder if it would be possible with a lot of work to make one brushable...
It's probably just me... but the lighting on the first one makes it look like it has little vampire teeth or fangs. XD I know it's the tongue but whenever I scroll past it I see teeth every time.

I actually like her with the fins, it looks more natural and I find it very elegant. I love that there's a distinction between her hooves and legs and that it looks nice but simple. The customization purposes I have in mind for one of the Queen Novos I'm getting would involve gradient painting for a male merpony.
Princess Skystar has those huge eyes and that dangly thing, so I am thinking of turning it into another male merpony to be Novo's King and Skystar's father. He would be inspired by a deep sea creature and done in black and glow in the dark paints with a glowing lure to attract prey. Dunno if I'd keep the hair?

I haven't liked the re-design so far, but I really like these. I'm finding Spike as a fish pretty funny too. Not sure we need another castle.
