OMG, I've got my decorative ladder! :rainbow::hearts::rainbow: I'd been eyeballing this ladder for two years, and when I finally decided to buy it, it was no longer available. I accepted it, but not without a tiny bit of pain in my heart. But now they have it again! We bought it yesterday, and now it has a beautiful place in our bedroom.
I don't know what it is, it just makes me happy everytime I look at it. It just breathes peace and happiness. :heart: What particular piece in your home makes you happy? ^.^

That's a sweet ladder :)
For me it is vintage curtains - here in the UK we have a shop called Laura Ashley and some of the old fabrics that were sold in the 70s and 80s give me that comfy feeling (maybe because they remind me of my childhood?). I have a few vintage curtains that I hang up on rotation - they maade some very pretty patterns! :biggrin:

I'm a crazy fruit plate person. I love fruit themed kitchenware. My bowls look like watermelons, my plates look like lemon slices, I have an orange wedge half plate...My fancy dessert plates have apples on them. I don't know why I love that theme, but I get so excited when I find plates like these out in stores.
(Closest I could find to my lemon plates.)

I was in Ikea yesterday and you have reminded me of the pink flamingo drinking glasses that they have there - Sommarfint is the design name - so jolly!

My favorite measuring cup is a one cup one that was my grandmother's. Somehow it ended up coming home with me and my husband several years before she died. Now that my grandmother is gone..it's my favorite measuring cup even more. I also have a dish cloth that was hers. Other favorites around my house are my Lion King and Friendship is Magic towels, a lunch plate with Giselle from Enchanted on it that I got from a Disney Store outlet and my cheap plastic party cups that are How to Train Your Dragon and My Little Pony. I also love my Oreo mug and McDonald's Garfield glasses from the 80s. Almost forgot one other favorite thing XP I love my Fast Mac cooker or whatever it's officially called. I can microwave macaroni and cheese, spaghetti or whatever kind of pasta in it instead of dealing with a pot and stove.

Fresh cut flowers. I found out that I need them near by me for my state of well being.
We are also still in winter and had a good month and a bit of no sun so that kind of made things worse.

That's cute- we should get one of those. But it would get scratched up- my cat is a freak who loves loves loves climbing ladders.
When I'm feeling indulgent I'll drag our ugly ole stepladder out and stick it in the dining room to watch her climb up and down it for lols. My wife then gets annoyed and puts it back in the basement.
But if it were a CUTE ladder now...

For me its tough but probably my Fox Shaped Cookie Jar :D I don't keep any cookies in it, but oh is it cute!

I have a 1960s avocado colored stand mixer. :D I LOVE that thing to pieces. I will probably cry when it dies. Do appliances even count?
Because I also have a really unnatural love for "wall ovens". Lol I wish they weren't so hard to find in homes.

I love everything with polka dots on it. Especially if it is red with white dots or white with red ones :) I have cups, mugs, plates, several enamel pots, lunch boxes, casseroles, a table runner... even my coffee machine is red with white dots :D

Most of my kitchen ware is pretty standard (nice quality, though), but my tea mugs are specially chosen, one by one. Some were presents, some I picked up in charity shops. Most of them have a "Winnie the Pooh" theme. In general, all of my kitchen ware makes me happy because I enjoy cooking and baking and having people over for nice meals.

Hm, what makes me happy when it comes to homeware... Oh, I know! Bedsheets :D I looooove colorful bedsheets made of 100% cotton, nothing else. I dont like microfabric or seesucker or whatever, I totally prefer 100% cotton, just flat fabric with no trims or laces or anything. No pics atm sadly, sorry.
My second favourite homeware stuff is : mugs. OMG I loooove mugs! I especially adore those designed by Marjolein Bastin (see them here : https://www.vivara.de/geschenke/tassen-marjolein-bastin.html) but I also love merchandise mugs (like Pokemon, My Little Pony, Doctor Who, ... and many more). Oh yes, I thinks mugs are my fave when it comes to homeware. Recently got a new one, white with mint green on the inside and decorated with a butterfly <3 so cute! And such relaxing colors! Simply nice!

Oooohh, I have a manaTea, too! It was a lovely surprise present from my boyfriend. Definitely one of my favourites items of homeware.
