I've an all pink fakie I'm painting gray.
At first I wanted to leave her hair pink like Snuzzle.
But red would look lovely with gray.
Green would be stunning but can you even dye pink hair green?
Then I thought all three would be great! I loves me a pony with 3+ stripes of color.
What do you all think?
-
Well, nobody answered the question for now, so I'll do it.
If you dye the pony's original hair, the dye might wear off after some time or the color might not turn out as you want it, so I wouldn't recommend it. Gray + pink looks pretty to me, so I would leave it as it is.
-
I can imagine some red dyed streaks in the pink. Or maybe just dye the ends so you get a gradient from pink to red?
As for green... I wouldn't risk it. I have no idea how that would look in the end.
-
I'm not sure if green would look good with pink and/or red, green can have very weird shades. I personally would try pink, especially if you are wanting to make it look similar to Snuzzles,
-
I too would leave it pink, especially if you like Snuzzle's color combo.

Whoops! Forgot to put a watch on this thread. :lookround: thank you for your advice and thoughts everyone. :)

Getting into this thread a bit late...
I've re-pinked hair on Dazzleglow. From my experience with the blue and a pink over it, the blue turned darker.
I think if you tried to dye pink w/green that you may end up with a brown... ack.
Add some tinsel for some flair maybe? Or add in a streak of red to her like the year 3 unicorns.

Well now she's pale green. :lookround: I ended up not liking the gray on her. It was fine for the model horse I'm painting but not for a pink unicorn.
Thanks for the tips everyone.

Grey and white are difficult colors to work with for FBR's. You'll find something that'll work, sometimes you gotta walk away for awhile and then the a-ha moment will set in.
