I was going through some of my old schoolwork with my mother last month and we came across some drawings I did with the G1 stencil, an old Xmas letter to Santa and my Alphabet Book with pony-themed drawings :D I did these in 1988, when I was 8 years old. Sadly my artistic abilities have not improved :D

I have no idea why Gingerbread is purple with a red main and tail, nor why she has a horn. I don't remember having Powder as a child, but I did have Gingerbread. Maybe I didn't have her then and had seen Powder and was confused?

Dear Father Christmas
please, before I ask you what I would like for Christamas, I would like to ask you a few questions. How did Rudolph get his red nose? has any of your reindeer become pregnant before?
now on with what I would like for christmas. Please! Please! Please! give me the My Little POny Baby Bonnet School of Dance. But, please, if you can't, can you give me either a baby pony with a baby pony costume or a adult pony with "ice dance" outfit thank you.

I loved my G1 pony stencil and used it a lot! I think I was 7 or 8 when I did this, I did see I kept my dark sense of humour from when I was a kid :D

I used to spend hours on my handwriting, as naturally my handwriting is terrible! If it was a letter or something nice I would sit and concentrate so hard on it to make it look good.

Yes I got the BBSoD, baby wear - the stripey one, I cannot remember the name, and I got the skater outfit too :D I know I would have had a pony but cannot remember which one.

Maybe it's a mix of Gingerbread and Galaxy? Since she's a purple(ish) unicorn with red(ish) hair and eyes, and her name also starts with a G...
I also love the little kelpie in the fish bowl, and your adorable stencil scenes! So creative for a seven-year-old!

Could be, I don't rememeber having Galaxy as a child but that isn't to say one of my friends didn't have her, and I am sure she was in the comics :)

I have some drawings I made that are a little similar to yours. And we didn't really write Letters to Christkind, but we made a kind of wishlist with paper cuttings from the catalogues. I know my mom still has them somewhere, but I always forget to scan them.
I love looking at these kind of things! Nostalgic!
