Hi everypony!! I am curious what others opinions are on resealing the necks of ponies? My boyfriend recently bought me a lovely nirvana pony but her neck is not sealed. Does resealing their necks decrease their value? Is sealing them better? If sealing them is better what does everyone recommend using? I would hate to damage her

Many nirvana ponies the neck never was sealed, so check if yours is a country that should be loose !
Generally I'd say leave it as is. It dosent help value and might hurt if you re glue it.

Very helpful!!! Thank you, Kasin. Is there a list anywhere that shows which countries never had sealed necks?

Don't.
Not only does it potentially further hurt a pony's resale value (some collectors prefer sealed, though many don't care) but adding yet another potentially volatile chemical to the vinyl can end up causing problems years down the road. Glue is notorious for yellowing and staining, and really shouldn't be used unless absolutely necessary. There's really little harm in having a loose head; makes it easier to inspect for mold or mildew damage, tail rust, or other internal problems, and it doesn't change how nicely a pony displays.

Thank you!! I'll definitely leave her the way she is :frolic:
