Title: eBay worry
Post by: Crowning_Glory13 on January 24, 2017, 04:07:50 AM
Recently I sold about 9 hand made items on eBay to one person. I am going to call them BOb, as I might be worrying over nothing, and would hate to hinder anyone's reputation. So Bob paid for items, and I sent them. Tracking says they should arrive today. Well Bob bought 4 more similar items from me last evening.  Great that I am selling, but Bob has not seen the first 9 items that I sent out, or if they had, no feedback on the transaction. I have yet to leave feedback. Will do later tonight, giving time to see if there is a hiccup in the transaction. Bob has oalmost 2000 rating, and mostly positive resent transaction. I never ship until I get paid....but I am concerned on what could happen. I do not want a massive return, or a battle on eBay. Does this sound weird? Red flag? I did not see their name on our lists of bad transactions. Am I just worrying over nothing?

It is not unusual for buyers not to leave feedback on eBay. That being said, perhaps "Bob" is buying gift basket gifts for a bridal shower or something and needed more? I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for the comfort. I just found it odd, and new to selling home made stuff on ebay

I wouldn't worry about it unless something actually happens. I've done this before. Put in an order and then find something else. Or put in an order for something I like and then a few days later if I have extra cash I might go back for others I liked.

I had to contact Bob for payment the first time...I give about 5-7 days. So no payment on the second order, but I am staying positive. I am glad no one else is getting a red flag from this. I ok being the worry wort.

I wouldn't worry unless something is brought up :)

I'm confused as to what the red flag could be- that he bought multiple items?

Were the items things that it would be weird to buy multiples of ?

it could also have happened that - despite what the tracking says, those can get mixed up sometimes - Bob has already received your first batch a day earlier, and ordered a second one the same evening exactly because he liked them/the quality/etc. I hope there won't be any issues, like many others, I also wouldn't worry based on what you've described just yet.

I ordered a ton of minis from Taiwan and then did a second order before I received the first.  Just cause I happened to notice some variations I'd missed the first time.  I had no ill intentions, but I think I worried him, because he registered and tracked my second package but not my first lol.  I guess I can see why it might look concerning, but you're probably safe :)

Thank you so much for the insight. I have been selling for awhile, but this is the first hand made items.

You could always send Bob a quick note saying you noticed the items were delivered, and wanted to make sure he was satisfied, and then wait for that confirmation before you send the second set.

Bob liked my hand made items, and made a prompt payment. I feel bad for being behind on my feedback for Bob. Snow Stor more kind of hinders my Internet. Thank you for all your support. I feel it was my low self esteem saying there is no way someone would like my stuff so much. Still new to selling. Glad it all worked out and was a positive experience:)
