Ok this is the first time I've actually spotted a pony in a commercial without even a prompt of one from someone else XD
I was watching HGTV today and the commercial for American Standard Faucet is playing, 22 seconds into the commercial I spotted a fakie pony o:

Do you see it? I sure do!

You're right!

Wow. She's must be proud to have been featured!
"Look! Look it's me, I'm in the commercial! All of those official ponies said I would never be noticed, let alone a star...But there I am!"
Why are all of the toys being thrown into the sink?...
-
I used to have a blue pony from that fakie line! Lol, I repainted her though, I'm eventually gonna turn her into dorothy from the Wizard of Oz

Kids play with toys in water all the time. Good thing with that fakie is that she likely doesn't have a washer and clip in her so no rust XD

IS it a Strawberry Shortcake pony? Looks a bit like one.

I haven't been able to find an actual brand for those guys but I see them almost all the time in like, every fakie lot ever and at the thrift store. The one I had came with some toys R Us fakies, but didn't have a brand on itself so I've never been sure who made it.
Mine had glass eyes, and there are a-lot of poses of them. I usually recognize them because they have weirdly knobby knees. I don't think they're strawberry shortcake though, their legs have never seemed thin enough to me

There really isn't a brand for that fakie, I've seen it several times under various names, or at least remakes of it.

OK I wasn't sure. But then I need new glasses, too. XD I've only had one SS pony so I am not too familiar with them.

These guys are found across all sorts of obscure and store brands. I've seen store brands from TRS, Woolworths, Kmart and Coles here in Australia, as well as many unheard-of toy manufacturers, so it's either got no licence, or no-one pursues it, and it's widely known that they don't or can't. They come in any colour you can think of, from black to neon, and have inserted glass/plastic ball eyes.
Look out for cheap-quality ponies, as immersing some bad-quality fakies (of this mould and many others) in water or exposing them to sunlight can cause plasticizer leakage in just months. Look out for traits such as missing hair plugs, extremely poor quality hair, excess glue or plastic tags (excess plastic that shouldn't be there and wasn't removed) and bubbles in the mould (basically terrible QC), as those can indicate a toy that will most likely leak plasticizer quickly and needs to be monitored and disposed of when problems arise if they are in the hands of children. Fakies are super fun, but please be careful with them around kids.
