What is Let's Make a Pony?
Spoiler
The basic point of the game is to create a pony as a community through a series of polls. These polls will ask basic questions to determine our ponies physical appearance, most popular choice when the poll is closed wins that round. Since this is supposed to be a fun community game, please feel free to share your opinions and comments in this thread.

Let's see how wild our pony will be!

What's the Purpose?
No real final goal but to have fun and see what we come up with together. I will be drawing it as we go along so we will have a visual representation. If anyone wants to join along with art, a custom, or anything else creative, feel free!  ;)

Cassiopeia was the preferred vote.

If it isn't obvious, I'm no graphic designer.  :P

Anyway, I did take a bit of liberty to change the CM a bit, I removed the dipper for a generic planet, and due to being her namesake, made Cassiopeia just a little more prominent in her design (and I couldn't resist the idea of GitD mixed into her symbol to match her mane). Still not fond of the tiny little stars and placement, but getting a genuine star map in there was more art pony than TaF. Hope you all like her anyway!

Couldn't help but throw in a poll for this as well. How close was she to how you voted in the polls? What do you think of Cassiopeia?

A big thank you to everyone for participating. it was a fun little project for me, and I hope it was equally fun for you all too!

I love her!! I think the TAF design you ultimately went with is perfect, I don't have any issues at all. I was so much fun voting and working as a community to design this pony.

I love it! She is so stinking beautiful! Waaa! Hasbro! If y'all see this, ask the arena to make you ponies! Amazing job well done aluke. I would give you a gold star, but hehe...I don't have one. I'm sure Cassiopeia will let you Borrow one!

Not a big fan of TE Ponies. I also don't like the name. She is nothing I voted for. I was actually surprised time after time to see what people voted for.

All the voted features work so perfectly together!

But what really makes me love her is the shape of the body, the shape of her body, her pose, her smile, the way she comes alive!  and of course her tail bow and the way all the hair flows.  Did I mention I am in love with her shape?

aluke, you ARE a graphic designer.  I don't think it would be possible to make Cassiopeia look any better.

She's not much what I voted for (except for the name, lol) but I love how she turned out!

While I see why we left that open to interpretation, I'm still a little sad we never solidified a pose, I would've loved to have her in the Powder pose as if she's looking up at the stars  :P

Eeeek! She's so cute and wonderful! Now that I see the star map fully rendered, I totally dig it. Now someone just has to dig up a pearly nurse red heart and we could have a g4 version of her ;3

What a fun community event! I'm not fond of her name, which doesn't sound much like a MLP name to me, but I think her design is very cute. Not what I was picturing when this started, but she would make a great custom!

Aww man....I didn't want to like her because I was butthurt that she was a TAF space themed pony, but you did such a great job of drawing her aluke, how can I not fall in love with her!! She is too cute :lovey:

You made every thing that was voted for come together so nicely, I can't wait for the customs to start rolling in  :)

:grouphug: Yay, I'm glad there is a mostly positive reaction to her.  It was definitely an experience seeing her progress to the pony she is. Thank you all for the help in bringing her into creation.

Thank you to the compliments on the art as well, can't wait to see the interpretations from everyone who expressed interest in drawing or creating a custom of her!  :art:

Interesting to see this unfold. I voted in a few polls.  This was a neat community idea. Your drawing is lovely, and I like her constellations/star map. She Turned out lovely, though I think she would make a better glow n show pony than a twice as fancy twinkle eye.

She is quite lovely. I am impressed by the artwork you have been doing with her throughout and the final product. The whole process was very fun!  (And great free marketing research)

But, I must point out, shes basically a pink (technically shes pearly white but she looks pink!) pony with purple hair. Almost exactly what Hasbro tells the community (who then in general complain) over and over and over is what sells. Pink and purple.   Just sayin.

I still like her, I'd definitely buy her.

Not exactly what I had originally been voting for, but she turned out great! I may make her into a G3 or G4 one day. I've already been contemplating bait options.

aluke, if I were to make her I'd have to sculpt her from scratch because what I love most about her is the way you drew her and I don't think I can sculpt that well.  Maybe could feed her into a 3d printer??

I'll take the blame for making the pearly effect pink. :blush: I honestly can't remember if there was thought behind it, or I picked a colour at random for shading. But I totally understand where you're coming from, I've mentioned before how surprised I was that it was the more common pony colours that were more popular.

Well, I do know a thing or two about 3D modelling. ;) Unfortunately I have zero drive to do any 3D art as a hobby, especially for something that is essentially fan art.

Whee, glad to hear more reactions on her as well. I won't be hosting a second game for awhile, but I'm already excited to see what pony number two will end up like.

Thank you! :D You know I was searching for something cute and pastel to draw (after too many youtube speedpaints) and Cassiopeia just happen to be perfect for what I wanted ^^ I thought the glasses would be cute too, seems like it would be hard to see with twinkle eyes lol.

Note to self; next time, give yourself a bigger space to draw all those little stars. You can't even see the planet and moon shapes, and half the stars got their color blacked out when I lined it. And I forgot the gem eyes. And the tail ribbon. And she was supposed to have Steven Universe-style stars in her eyes, but those got blacked out too. Oh well, my main goal was to draw her in a Powder-esque pose, so I guess I succeeded.

I think she looks amazing despite her size. I love the traditional unicorn tail, and I dunno, I like the larger stars, it makes it look more like a taf symbol then colourful freckles.  :lol:

We think she'd look terrific in the Buttons pose. Plenty of room to show off her lovely symbols. DD says she looks like a Star Chart.
