Who's the best MLP villain of all time?

I would have to say that my favorite MLP villain (from friendship is magic) is Discord, but I also like Nightmare Moon. They both get a lot of attention from the fandom, but not many people pay attention to the original Tirek from G1, he's a pretty rad villain, and my favorite out of G1.
Whose your favorite and why? Any generation is welcome.

Tirek for me I still find him scary even as an adult and he made it pretty clear that he was willing to do anything to accomplish his goal no matter what with no regard for those that he forced to serve him. He threatened to behead Spike if Scorpan didn't get a 4th pony. He even forced Megan, Firefly, Bowtie and Twilight to watch him turn Applejack in to dragon.

I say Tirek. Crunch the Rock Dog would be my second choice. Lavan would be third.

Easily G1 Tirek. He looks and talks like he came off the cover of a Dio album.

Definitely Tirek followed by Grogar and Crunch the Rock Dog.

Queen Chrysalis. She's just so evil! Also, she was pretty creepy in her last appearance.

Dischord is brilliant, a little bit complicated and so well acted. The magician that snips Seashell's shadow in G1 terrified me as a kid!

My vote's for Queen Chrysalis. She's pretty funny (in the comics especially) while still being clever, powerful, and evil enough to hurt her own people in order to maintain absolute power over them

The Witches and their Smooze and Somnambula.

Tirek scared the crap out of me when I was younger! He is just not nice.

The scariest was G1's Tirek, I think. Though Discord is the most powerful, he really isn't scary to me and he's no longer a villain. He always made me laugh though and is one of my all time favourite characters.
The songs and story with Queen Chrysalis though-- epic.

G1 Tirac is certainly up there (and the roid version FiM gave us is a pale imitation). However, I think Grogar edges him out because he was more cerebral. Him discussing his plans, even making special mention of the humans having hands and being good slaves shows he was thinking. Tirac was visceral as you can get, but Grogar's campaign had more thought to it.

Tirek and Groger. I felt sorry for Scorpan having to put up with Tirek. I thought that Tirek was cool enough with the "transformer's narrator's voice." :D

I remember that story because I have the book about seashell. He was a nice evil wizard but I wonder if him and the other one that Applejack knocked over are the one and the same?? With the twinkle eye ponies?

Tirek for me. And yeah, that shadow-snipping wizard in the G1 book was pretty freaky!
Also Nightmare Moon and Queen Chrysalis. I love how they added subtle, gross "insecty" sounds in the background when she first appears in her true form.

Grogar, Chrysalis and Discord.Lavan is great too (although i might overrate him a little bit because i absolutely love the g1 princesses)

The shadow stealing wizard sounds very interesting. I'll have find a copy of that book. :)
