A new year is just around the corner. What better time is there to try and develop a calendar or planner habit?
When it comes to life, are you a planner or a pantser? If you use a calendar or planner, is it a physical one or an electronic / digital one? I've been thinking that it's time I look into getting something to keep my life more organized and figured I would see if anyone here has any thoughts or suggestions.
I always thought that this kind of stuff had to be very boring, but from the research i'm doing on planner websites and YouTube, I'm actually both excited and optimistic.
I'm currently leaning toward a Happy Planner, but nothing is written in stone yet. My bf is teasing me that I'm just looking for excuses to use more washi, stickers and crafting paper.

I have a paper calendar on my wall :) I rely on it a lot for keeping track of everything from my work schedule to my medication.
I have a calendar on Outlook for work, but I don't keep it as upto date as I should
Love pkw xxx

yes! i keep a filoflax planner and it has definitely helped organizing my schedule. i write down work hours, school hours, things to turn in, etc. speaking of..i need to buy 2017 paper!

I have a diary I carry round with me. I put all my work/appointments/medications, everything in it, it is a week per double page with lines for each day. I would be lost without it! My Mum bought me my one for next year already. :)

I have a wall calendar at my home and work office areas., just for visual purposes heh....I have a mini calendar in my purse for various appointments, bdays, etc. I also have an Outlook calendar at work but don't use it much..
When I worked as a reporter I had a huge desk calendar that I used regularly, now I just use sticky notes at work if it's something super important. Otherwise, I'd forget! :satisfied:
-
No, but I seriously should start. :/
No really, i'm so bad at forgetting appointments it's just terrible.
-
I have an Outlook calendar at work, which I also have linked to my phone (I don't want my emails and stuff, but it's helpful to know busy times at work). I also have a big dry erase calendar to map out the work year overall. And then I have 2 personal calendars on my Hotmail, also linked to my phone - one for me and one for hubby.
As a student I always had a paper planner to track everything, but now I find it a pain to carry around something paper, since it has to fit in my purse, and that takes up space and gets heavy.
-
I use the calendar in G-Mail - one for my personal life and one for work. I find it extremely useful because I can view and add to the calendar on my phone, so I've always got it at hand. I used to have a little diary in paper form, but a) I found it too tedious to fill it in, especially when appointments changed and it just looked messy and b) I try not to carry around too many things in my bag these days. My phone is with me all the time anyway, so it doesn't add weight to my bag. :)

I've always used one for work! I love it and snagged a neat planner for 3017 last night at Micheal's for cheap.
-
I use google calendar which I can edit both on the computer and on my phone. It's connected to my boyfriends google calendar as well so I see everything he puts in and he sees everything I put in which makes it really easy for us both to keep track on each others plans and workschedules. I do have a calendar on the wall but it's more for show.

I used to keep a small diary planner in my handbag at all times. This year I tried to make do with the one in my phone, but I can't get used to an electronic one, so I just ordered a custom made one for 2017 featuring Catwoman!
-
I know electronic life managers are suppose to be more convenient, but I find them aggravating >_<
I have a wall calendar at home and a purse calendar that I take when I'm out of the house, both have my work schedules and my social plans... I can't seem to keep my life straight any other way!

3017? Wow! You're really planning ahead. ;)
I wasn't familiar with happy planners before now... I really like the look of them! I'm always trying to figure out what sort of planner/calendar to use that's convenient...
I would love to get something that has 2017 through until the end of 2018.

A time machine. That's what we all need. Much better than calendars and planners... Or maybe as an accessory to the really cute ones--I still want my new excuse for more washi, stickers and craft paper!

I do not use either one hardly at all. I have no need for it as each day is pretty much the same for me. I lived with an old fashioned calendar. I don't like all my information stored on google clouds. So, I would not probably use my smart phone calendar for that reason. I would choose something that I could hang on the wall or carry around. My favorite thing to use as a teacher was the huge desk calendar. I put it on my desk and the big squares for the entire month were right there. Plus it was great when you needed to make a quick note. I am the same way with my address and contacts. I prefer the old fashion address book rather than pushing this and that to find a contact and their address. Sometimes the older way of doing things is easier.

I do for appointments :)

I'm a planster with a neglected calendar, lol. It makes life interesting....

I have a bando planner! I cannot function without it. I find writing things down really help me to stay organized and on track! I started using one about a year and a half ago. It really has changed my life!
Bando has some super cute organizers and planners! I have the "I'm very busy" one. Check out their site: https://www.bando.com
There's a sale right now too!

I have a 'things to do' list on my phone, but I also keep a diary where I write about events and feelings, so if I have something really important to remember, it goes in there and I won't forget.
-
I use a text file made with Notepad. I am terrible at keeping it updated and keeping an eye on it and lately I have a lot of dates to keep track of and I have my yahoo mail app on my fone so....I'm going to get to keeping it updated, and send it to myself in email each time I update it so I can actually keep it updated and keep track of it.
-
I just use the calendar on my phone (and its not a smart phone) works just fine for my needs...

You're way ahead of the game, I'm looking for a 2017 planner, not 3017. I'm not going to be alive then. Haha I ,]make mistakes like that, ;)

I use planner , a small planer with a spiral binder. That's the only way I remember my appointments. I also give myself injections that need to be alternated left and right side so I have a wall calender for that.
-
Yeah I use calendars.
-
I have a little hardback diary with a crystal pattern on it, which tends to be used in 'waves' - when I remember, then I use it. Perhaps for 2017, I should be more organised and actually make good use of my diary! When it comes to everyday stuff like shopping lists and appointments, then I usually put a note on the standby screen of my phone, as I'm much less likely to forget that and leave it at home! :P
-
I have a planner that I really only use when I have the time to - which usually isn't when I need it, haha! But with all the stuff coming up next year, I REALLY need to get my butt into gear and use it more!!! Hubby has a calendar.

Updating to share that my bf ordered me an Erin Condren LifePlanner. He decided he wanted to get the planner for me since it's something I'll use every day, but couldn't easily get a Happy Planner here. He decided he preferred getting the EC since it could be personalized anyway. He won't tell me what he wrote. He says i'll have to wait and find out. I do know it has the gorgeous pink / white / orange swirl cover with "Do what you love, love what you do" written on it, that it's the horizontal layout that has lines for writing, and that it has a rose gold coil. I wasn't expecting to get something quite so pricey / high end since I've never really used a planner before, but I'd be lying if I denied I'm excited for it to get here!

I have a wall calendar in 2 rooms of my house, a pocket planner that I keep in my purse for literally everything, and sometimes use the planner on my phone for very important dates or events I can't forget. That's when I use the alarm on my phone too.
