I don´t know if this is the right place to post, but here it goes: Hi everypony, I´m a bit disappointed with the island where I live: we never have the same stuff at stores as the mainland. I have to order stuff from online stores, from paints to the figures I collect. No g4 ponies, no Monster high dolls, no tsum tsums, no skylanders, no amiibos. The problem is I have to pay high shipping for the parcels. Another example is we have the same store as the mainland named Worten that never has new things in stock, recently the new pokemon and the new mini nes, through all year long they will never sell in the store. But why can I order online and pick the option to pick up in the store? Because they won´t sent to the islands, even if they have the store there. Even in the Xmas time the stores don´t get new stuff.4 years ago I lived in Lisbon I really miss those times.

That sounds very frustrating! :(

I had that problem when I lived in Alaska. I had to order a lot of stuff online but the shipping to Alaska was always much higher then the rest of the USA.

That does sound frustrating :(
Have you looked into why? Maybe plan a daytrip to the main land to get what you need?

Supply and demand is a bummer. We take advantage in the contiguous United States the many options we have for everyday items and the abundant access to collectibles. If we didn't have semi-drivers, trains and ferries we'd be in the same boat as you (so to speak). There must be other good things about island life that we're missing out living on the mainland...

Wow yeah I bet that is super frustrating. :( I'm sorry you have to deal with that. I don't suppose you guys get Amazon Prime out there?
