As pony collectors it has to be a good idea to keep your postie sweet. My postie is really nice anyway, she is always so ultra polite and friendly. I would like to get a small thing for my postie but I'm not sure what or how to give it to her! Anyone got any stories/ideas?

Well in N. America, it's not actually legal or advised that you gift your postal service worker at all.

Oh wow! What a shame :)
I guess they might sue you if the gesture doesn't quite hit the mark for some reason like you set off an allergy...

I'm pretty sure my family always leaves a Christmas card with something inside for our postal worker. My town also only has 900 people so we kinda know everyone

Actually, in America, postal workers can receive gifts that are worth up to $20, as long as it's not cash or a cash card.

I think most people do nice cards or little things that anyone might like such as candy or lotion or socks.

Oh whoops, I had no idea about this, I always leave him a Christmas card with coffee gift card in my mailbox for him just to say thanks for putting up with my pony mail!

That's a really nice idea!

We usually just give them a card :) Put a sign hanging over the mailbox saying 'knock ont he door' or something ^^
Though they are talking about going to PO boxes so who knows what will happen.

We have big communal mail boxes so I'm not sure how I would leave something :/ I do think it's a sweet idea! My stepdad drives a recycle truck and usually has a few people give him things during the holidays, too.

I usually put some homebaked cookies in a small decorative bag for my carrier. :) hes always been very friendly and really good about getting things to me on time.
I usually just put it in the mailbox with a note saying something like "to mail person, Thanks for your hard work!" or something like that xD

I might need to get vouchers for the recycling people as well. ^.^

We usually get our mailman some chocolates. He has always been very friendly to us and is always having to deal with bringing my parcels to the door, lol. He is going to hate me soon with everything I have been ordering.
-
our mailman always throws a treat to our dog, it really brightens up our puppy's day! :-P
as thanks, we'll get him a box of dog treats and some sort of baked good now and then!

If I knew the sub would be running I'd leave him something. The regular mail lady has left packages in her car for a week before. I've had to call above the post master before to get my packages. So I don't leave anything for my post lady.

we have the mail boxes too, and we usually will slide our card/chocolate in with a note saying for mail person! I've also left change for bad stamps this way too XD
