Title: Reward for a certain Baby Doll!
Post by: mayanbutterfly on October 26, 2016, 09:48:01 AM
Hi there every pony!

My son lost his favorite toy, a baby doll and I'm hoping to get another one just like it.  I can offer a cash reward of $15.00 or I can trade you ponies for it!

I have many extras G1s and some G4s and G1 Accessories, probably other items too!

For example I know I have Princess Serena, Baby Tiddly Winks, extra Dream Castle Accessories, Twinkler the SHS...

So here's the info about the baby doll.

It had plastic arms and a plastic head with blinking eyes with eye lashes. It's body was stuffed and the legs and feet were also stuffed and the feet were not very detailed.

Its mouth was open a little but didn't have a hole in it. It had no electronics inside. It had slight plastic molded hair, not real hair

It measured about 11 inches long and it had been wearing this outfit pictured below.

We got it at a thrift store, so it's probably not currently sold in stores and it was probably made in China.

Thank you all for any help with this! (:

Have you checked out the site ghost of the doll to see if it could help you id what type of doll it was? When I looked at the outfit I automatically thought of magic nursery doll, but the description of the doll itself does not .
Match.

What colors were the skin, hair, and eyes?

The skin was light and it didn't really have hair, just a molded head with light brown on it. I thin kthe etes were blue, but I'm not sure.

the onesie doesnt have any tags or labels or anything? you cant remember any markings on the doll? pretty tough to find! you might have to settle with just getting a similar baby doll.

i know you said plush feet but could it have been a JC La Baby?
https://www.amazon.ca/JC-Toys-Washable-Children-Berenguer/dp/B002APDYV0

if not, they're cheap ($15) and sound pretty similar to what you're looking for.

Is there any brand or label with info on the inside of the clothes?

From the looks of it it looks like it's a very cheaply made doll which can be litteraly sold anywhere. Even here in the Netherlands. So a little more info would help :)

Don't you have a picture of it?

Hi there,

It was cheaply made in China, I don't have a picture since it's lost now, lol. There's no tag inside the clothes.  Thanks for any help! (:

It had blinking eyes, that was one big feature that my kiddo liked.

The onesie reminds me of a baby doll my daughter had when she was little (16 now)
I had gotten it at walmart and I believe at the time she was around $10
You might want to check there. They have quite a few adorable, yet, inexpensive babies that he might like to "adopt".
Kudos, btw, for your son loving his doll baby. He will be a good daddy one day for your effort.

Thanks! That's my idea with it. (:

I don't have one - but I stumbled across this online

https://babysupermarket.com/products/alexander-doll-pink-check-huggums-baby-doll-29200 (https://babysupermarket.com/products/alexander-doll-pink-check-huggums-baby-doll-29200)

Could she be it (or maybe at least a lead to finding the one you're look for)
