Title: Item marked as shipped but no tracking number provided? Update see last post

I won an item on Ebay recently. It has been marked it as shipped but there is no tracking info provided? Maybe the seller just forgot to put it on Ebay? I also checked Paypal and there is no tracking number there either.

Post by: bluerose9978 on October 17, 2016, 08:32:56 PM: You can always ask the seller. They may take it to the post office to ship and just marked it shipped without putting in the number for you.

Recently I had this happen but the seller marked it as shipped but did not load a tracking number and didn't ship the item. So it never hurts to ask.

Post by: nhal039 on October 17, 2016, 10:17:14 PM: I always sent items without tracking so cant upload tracking on ebay cause its not tracked :) So in saying that they properly have posted and your item will reach you soon, it never hurts to ask if there is tracking if buyers ask me I send proof of postage and just ask they be patient as it will arrive

Some items do get a number, but it doesn't appear until well after the item arrives(rare, but it happens). Some items get marked as shipped, but don't get a number until the seller actually drops it off at the post office. I'm currently dealing with a seller who does this, and it's super annoying. So far it's been sitting around since the 25th of September. I've bought from her before, and half the time she ships crazy fast, and the other half she sits on the package for a month.

Post by: tulagirl on October 19, 2016, 07:02:25 AM: I think some sellers are still doing all their shipping in the post office rather than printing the shipping labels online. So, sometimes they don't get tracking numbers, or if they do they just don't upload them.
