I was at a feed and tack store today for my job, and I spotted several figurines next to their Breyer horses. My eyes went huge and I went closer to investigate. Here were these amazing, detailed figures of the most gorgeous magical creatures! There were Pegasus, elves riding unicorns, and this amazing dragon/unicorn looking thing that just mesmerized me and I had to bring it home! I mean, look at it! The packaging is in German, and the website for them is schleich-s.com/bayala (http://schleich-s.com/bayala) but I do not see my beautiful little "Asian Magical Being" (one of the few things in English on the box) on the website. I'm so impressed by the detail so I figured you all would appreciate some of these pictures. Isn't he a beaut?! Has anyone seen these before? Some of the other figures on their website have me drooling!

Ooh! I adore Bayala!
-
oooh sooo pretty! Im tempted to go looking for some of them!
I love it even more cause its goaty and i feel like you dont see many fantasy goat type things xD
-
I'm wondering if it's meant to be a Kirin?
Either way, I totally love it!
-
i agree with bekuno, it looks a lot like a kirin!
super lovely find, all those details are gorgeous!

Oooh what a neat find! I love Schleich but I haven't seen these before. I knew they have some knights and dragons and unicorns etc. but I have only been collecting their horses and other animals so far. I checked out the website and some of those fantasy creatures look amazing! This reminds me I need to keep Schleich in mind for Holiday swap extras. ;)

Schleich always has really lovely figures! I've never seen that one before, though; it's really pretty and unique!
-
I love Schelich and have several figures from this line, but not that one! Great find :)
-
I adore that this range does interesting and not often seen creatures! The day they do an Alphyn is the day my wallet will rebound off of my screen. :)
-
what a pretty figurine!
-
It looks like a two horned Ki-lin

What are the figures made of? Tempted to buy some for my nieces. :)

They are made of resin or stiff plastic. ^.^

Oh Schleich is soooooo pretty!
-
Wow, I've never seen anything like that before! It's awesome

Yes, the Schleich figurines are always super-pretty. Such attention to detail! Of the Bayala line, I particularly like the pegasus foal. So adorable!

I've been collecting Schleich horses for 5 years. I've never been interested in the fantasy pegasuses and unis, but sometimes, I have to admit, they are better made than regular horses. The quality of their regular horse line has gone low within last 3 years. The old Arabians used to be so realistic and detailed, the new ones are far from it and look too toy horse-ish to me. I used to buy them all the time, now I am just buying those who look more realistic. This year's Mustang foal is the best one of the new ones so far imo. I hate the new Arabian stallion, while it's pose and overall Arabian outline are a bit more tolerable than the new Arabian mare's, I still don't get why they put the braid into the tail of it. Arabians are never braided.
Okay, enough of negativness  Positives are that they are producing many accessories for the horses unlike other model horse makers of that scale(Collecta, Safari). I personally love Collectas the most, they are very detailed and realistic, but their material is too soft and thin legged models tend to bend.

Plastic. Like the heavy, sturdy kind.

I discovered those over the summer! Love them

Very sturdy!
I gave a few of these to my stepdaughters. They are *hard* on their toys! And these figures have actually lasted!

I have a Bayala figure, and there's another I'd love to get but it's discontinued.
I have Serah (matched my main DnD character so well), and I wanted to get Jaro for Raijha.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I'm pretty obsessed with him.
So, I snagged him at a feed store that I was visiting for my job (I work for a pet products manufacturer) and over the last few days I visited at least five other feed stores and they ALL had Schleich displays, and most of them had some of these new Brayla ones (though I never saw any more of the one I bought). They have a really beautiful creature that is like a deer/unicorn that I might have to buy too.

I love how tough Schliegh toys are. You can leave them outside through a Canadian winter. Rinse them off in the spring and never know the difference. They can really take a beating.

Wow, that's crazy!!

Yes I love this line. I have been collecting Schleich for a long time, but I currently don't own any from this line. I am especially drawn to the animals and have them all on my other collections wanted list LOL. I probably will never get them all, but I just love them.
-
I saw them last time I went to the toystore....and was very...very tempted to buy one...or more!!!
-
As others have said, I, too, really like Schleich figures! I love their dragons. And they're usually pretty affordable for the quality, too! I've definitely never seen the one that you got, though. So cool!

I love Schleich toys, I collect their dinos :lovey: Great detail, and quality. For anyone that likes Schleich I recently found out about a toy line called Papo which is similar, and in my opinion, equally awesome :) I think they may even be made at the same facilities, because their tags/markings are the same style.
