Title: My Little Pony mentioned on TV (or spotted in everyday life)

I don't know if we want to have fun with where we happen to see MLP during our day, but:

I was at work today and on the waiting room TV, the Steve Harvey show had a note written by a mom to her husband about how to deal with the children on her "day off" and she said feeding times are bad, so bad that it makes Satan seem like My Little Pony.  Then she went into the demands of the children for things like purple Mac and Cheese etc.

(I think she must be referring to G3 my little pony if she thinks it is all peaches and cream)

It made my work day to have MLP mentioned.  My G1 Sorbet that guards my computer at work smiled too...ok she's always smiling...she's looking at me right now, and she approves this message!

If anyone else thinks this is fun, then post your own My Little Pony sightings!

I love finding MLP in unexpected places. I've found My Litlte Ponies at work before. There is a box of mostly G3s and McDonald's ponies in one of the rooms.

There's an episode of Big Bang Theory where Penny makes a comment about all of Leonard's "toys" (super hero collectibles) and Sheldon comes back with a comment about how she had no room to talk because if he looked in her room he would find Care Bears and My Little Ponies.

In one episode of Full House Michelle has a My Little Pony lunchbox and in some Cosby Show episodes Rudy has a plush Bowtie in her room.

I always go crazy if I spot a student of mine with a FiM pencil case, a T-shirt, or even a plush! There's a little girl in one of the classes who always carries a Twilight with her, so when I walk up to her with my plush Fluttershy, she is in bliss!! Fun!!!!

There's that episode of Two Broke Girls where they visit a little boy (to try to sell vintage McDonald's toys I think?  It's been a while since I've seen it) and he's a huge "vintage" My Little Pony collector.  They made a mistake of course and filled the room with mostly G3s (not vintage haha) but still!

The shuttle driver at work saw my friend's g1 shirt the other day and mentioned she used to collect them

Wish I could talk to her about it but there's not a good way to bring it up.

And friend was only wearing shirt because she came during non operational hours, otherwise we have to wear a uniform.

I was watching iZombie last night and there was a little MLP joke. One of the guys had glitter in his beard and the other was calling it a My Little Pony xD He even gave it a silly Glitter G3-type name but I can't recall exactly what it was.

Today in the queue at the Union, the little girl in the stroller in front of me had a Rainbow Dash hairbrush attached to the string of beads where her pacifier was attached too.
Made me smile :)

There is a young teenager who goes to my church and she is ecstatic whenever I wear a pony T shirt to church, AND she likes all gens! including G3.5 and I've given her ...three G1s so far.

On our first anniversary, my boyfriend and me went to a fancy restaurant for dinner. While there, a couple with 2 kids sat next to us. Luckily they were quiet and well behaved.

My boyfriend and me spent most of the evening looking discretely at the MLP playing cards the kids brought with them...

A perfect romantic evening! :)

One time I was sitting on a bench in a park, I overheard some kids playing pretend, FiM based. I didn't catch too much, besides "Discord wasn't a bad guy, he just wanted to have fun" which I found rather amusing, since this was before season 3 aired :)
Oh, and there's a teacher at my school whose daughters had G1s as kids. Apparently she still has them, but isn't interested in selling them. For shame...

Just received the catalogue from Carrefour, with all the toys, and they have MLP but, the new ones. Sorry to say that, but they are awful! At least in that catalogue. I prefer the ones at home hehe

I remember hearing my little pony referenced in Clarissa Explains it All on nickelodeon.

One time at my old job that I worked at 7 years ago, a little kid was playing with a baby paws and had all his accessories at the table.. Thought it was weird.

I remember my sister was a mad fan of the OC when it was on, and it had that whole storyline ongoing with the Princess Pony I know as Amethyst under her US name and her apparent relationship with whatever toy it was the guy had...

Also I remember an episode of the Brittas Empire (I think) in which a pony, possibly Flower Bouquet, ended up in a swimming pool.

Both older references, but G1, so understandable that that's the case.

Also, the toy museum in Bethnal Green in London has Cherries Jubilee in one of their cabinets, and the Castle Museum in Turku, Finland has (or had) Sky Rocket (Sparkle Pony).

Oh yeah, for a while The OC made Princess Sparkle's price skyrocket on eBay.

I saw Sweet Lily on an episode of The Brittas Empire (UK sitcom) once.

Wasn't there an episode of the Gilmore Girls where someone exclaimed a pink drink tasted like a My Little Pony?  Or am I thinking of another show..

Yes! It was the pink "signature drink" Emily had the bartending service create for Rory's 21st birthday party. Luke commented that it tasted like a My Little Pony  :lol:

I have a couple ponies on my desk at work. Which means I hear about my coworkers kids and their love of My Little Pony. One of them has this huge Pinkie Pie obsession, she even has this huge pink ride on unicorn that she's named Pinkie Pie. Another is also in love with Hello Kitty and Frozen (which also happen to be at my desk). The third one says it gives her headaches when her daughter watches the show nonstop, and that she's trying to get her interested in something else.

I have a number of McPonies decorating my cubicle at work. Last month I came back from a week off and found two new still in bag McPonies in my chair (Twilight Sparkle and Coco Pommel with color change hair).

None of my friends left them for me so I'm inclined to believe my cube is now a McPony refuge. I am perfectly fine with that.
