Title: Withdrawing Paypal funds - running slow?
Post by: Loa on September 09, 2016, 03:02:52 PM
I withdrew funds to my bank account this week, and it usually takes 2 working days.
I processed a withdrawal on Monday and I still haven't seen the funds. I've checked and checked, and everything is fine on Paypal's end... but this is taking a LONG time.

Is anyone else experiencing delays?

I just realized my funds still havent cleared either. They are having a serouis glitch or else are holding funds intentionally for longer to make extra interest

I would go with this!  It seems like my bank takes longer and longer to do things - like 14 BUSINESS DAYS to clear a cheque, and when I inquired as to why, the manager whispered to me that it has everything to do with "making interest off the customers' money" but then he straightened back up and said LOUDLY, "I don't know what to tell you ma'am, unfortunately this seems like something that Head Office Corporate has to clear through their offices before the money can be released."

Gosh, that sucks. I have the opposite happening. Mine used to be a consistent 2 business days. Now it's almost immediate. I initiated a transfer last night - a Sunday evening, and the money was in my bank this morning.

So after a bit of digging and 45 minutes on hold with paypal, I discovered this is affecting EVERYONE in NZ.

such bad service its disgusting reading the comments its been on going for weeks and so many are effected! To try to say it was a problem with the banks at first is shocking. I  have no choice but use them but when I can I will be using an alternative! I have been starting to use an online bank transferwise, they are awesome and there fees cheaper than paypal.

This is honestly why I have the PayPal debit card. I can't withdraw money at any ATM and deposit it in my bank account

Problems in the UK too. Usually I transfer funds to my bank from PP and it's there instantly but now it's taking several days to clear. Fortunately I have a PP debit card too so I can withdraw cash from an ATM but it charges for this service! It's not fun when you need the cash straight away but fortunately I have the PP Access (Debit) Card to fall back on. x
