Last week I bought the Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe and today it arrived it has most of its accessories but the main thing was that Scoops was in it.
I already have a Scoops but placing them next to each other I noticed that one was cyan and blue while the other was pink and purple! Even the eyes were different while one had pink eyes the other blue!I have not seen this variant of Scoops anywhere has anyone else?

My friend theorized that to get that nice rich pink and purple they had to stamp blue paint then red paint but mine accidentally got skiped so she only has the blue paint.

It's faded. Really, really, REALLY badly faded. The red pigments fade fastest and worst, so we see a lot of "blue" ponies who should be purple. Lemondrop is this way too.
-
The red pigment fades out of her symbols, leaving the blue paint behind. :) I used to have a Scoops like that, and on one side of her body you could see "in progress" fading from purple to blue. (Probably that side of her body was faced away from the sun, wherever she was stored.)
Peachy, Heart Throb, and Baby Crumpet can also have this paint issue.
She is really pretty, though.

Thank you, LadyM, I was trying to think of other ponies this happens to and pretty much just came up with TV snow noise...
-
I third faded! My childhood Scoops has one side of her body faded to blue and the other side unfaded (poor thing must have been left in sunlight on one side for too long!)
-
It's actually quite pretty! I'd re-hair her to match.
-
She is pretty with just the blue.
The pink just faded from the eyes? That is the part that is throwing me off.. The rest I can believe the pink faded from the sides but in the eyes with nothing else fading?
-
Wow! I had no ideas they could fade like that..? With symbols changing color so much. I think she's really pretty. ^.^
-
Pink and red pigments seem to be less stable overall. They will simply fade, even in the eyes, leaving other pigments behind. Purples and pinkish-purples are often a mix of pigments, and not all fade at the same rate.
-
Agreed faded...i have seen others faded the same :)....still gorgeous and I would keep her :)
-
She's pretty. It's just super faded. I have a few like that. I keep them because they're pretty. ;)
-
bummer that its not a variant, but shes still very very pretty! funny that fading somehow added an unknown element of prettiness to a pony in this case ^.^
-
Oh I am keeping her
I love the colors she faded too and the fade is so even and she looks so cute now with her twin sister!
-
That is probably the most beautiful fading I've ever seen! That's one time when I might actually deliberately try to get a faded Pony. She does look more like a variant than a victim of age!
-
Some ponies look good faded. It's really weird but true. My sister's Tornado has white hair, and she hates him with pink hair, she thinks the white suits him better and should have been the original colour.
As for Scoops, she clearly had a lot of fun outdoor games in her past. I think it's great you're going to adopt her for her charms as she is now, because childhood adventures do tend to make ponies unique ;)
