I've found that I'm really starting to love the Nirvana Moondancers and think I'd like to begin collecting them but I find I know little to nothing about them other than their pretty pictures. Could you all help me with rough pricing on them and how common they are. I'm particularly in love with pink hair Argentina Moondancer. Which ones are the easiest to come by and which ones will I rarely see for sale? Feel free to share the pretty pictures of any Moondancers you have.
Ok so here's what I know so far:
Italy Moondancer - easiest to find
SA Moondander - Hardest to find
Pink Hair Argie - $100-150
-
There are so many Moondancers!!!
I think the easiest to find would be regular Italy :bigups: and the hardest to find would be South African (either version) and the Greek with the reversed hair colours or the Greek pink Baby Moondancer.
Argentina Moondancer with the pink hair varies between $100-150 depending on condition.
Here is a picture of non glitter Baby Moondancer her price is around $15-20 :)

Baby Moonie's so cute! As you said, pkw, there are sooo many Moondancers I'll have to start with the adults but please, keep letting me know about babies, too. Thanks for the information, pinkkittywinks, that really helps get me started. :)

I'm glad I could help :)
Italy Yellow Moondancer and Hong Kong yellow Moondancer are about $65-80 each :) They are as hard to find as they used to be ^.^

Oh! I once spotted a baby Moondancer I had never seen before on Tradera and had to save the picture from the auction. Maybe she is common, but I only knew about the Play n care baby before I saw this one! :)

There are four known adult Argie Moondancer variants:
white with pink hair
white with green hair
white with blue hair
white with rainbow hair
From observation over the years, the blue hair variant is the hardest to get. I've only seen maybe 3 or 4 in the last 20 years, and I don't know how many of those are the same one changing hands over and over again. The rainbow one doesn't come up for auction much either and is very sought after. There's a handful of green hair variants out there, and the pink is very common.
There's also a bunch of argie baby Moondancers - can someone help with those variants?

Missed this before! This is she was sold through much of Europe, though there are a few different versions of the language (German, Dutch/French, Danish come to mind). In Germany both the painted symbol and the glittery symbol ones were sold on cards similar to this. On card she's not overly common, but there are a few :)

I have an argie moondancer with white hair but somewhere back in the mists of pony time she was discussed here (before I ever owned her ) and decided to be a factory rehair.
