Title: Funko Repair
Post by: KC8114 on August 15, 2016, 07:30:03 PM
I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask but figured I would try!

My fiancĂ© surprised me today with the Funko Vinyl Glitter Princess Luna. When she arrived the packaged looked okay but when we opened it her tail was broken off  :(. Does anyone have any experience on repairing these??  Any help is appreciated. Thanks fellow pony lovers.

How disappointing!!

Ask Lostpony about his baking-soda-and-super-glue trick.  Maybe that would work.   :hope:

Somebody in another forum was just talking about using a type of glue specially made for plastic to plastic, worth a Google search

I know the baking soda and superglue trick! It makes the glue dry fast but can leave residue.  (I always use it with Zap a Gap. Not sure if others do.)

I agree that researching glues that bond your type of plastic is the best idea! Loctite makes a vinyl glue I think. Some glues even melt the plastic a little to create a very strong bond! I recommend going to artstuf.com and phoning the people there to ask for a reccomend product, they're very knowledgable and will ship you things.

Holy deja vu, Batman! My glitter Luna arrived exactly the same way, when I got mine. I glued the tail back on using super glue meant for plastic.
